Listen to this chapter:

Tears welled up in Julie’s eyes. Bracing against the pain, she said with difficulty, “L–Let go of…” Her voice came out garbled because her cheek was pinched. It was laced with pain and fear. After hearing her, Zayn didn't let go. On the contrary, he increased the force with which he was pinching her cheek. Julie’s cheek hurt so much that her eyes reddened instantly, and tears flowed uncontrollably. “Do you not want to see me that much?” Zayn wanted nothing more than to strangle her then and there at the sight of her defiant expression. Julie whimpered in pain. “Ouch! It hurts! L–Let go.” As she spoke, her tears splashed onto the junction between Zayn’s thumb and index finger, causing him to subconsciously loosen his hold. Angry red fingerprints marked Julie’s originally pale face. She caressed her cheek, glaring at Zayn with a flushed face and anger-filled eyes. “Are you insane?” she yelled angrily. Her cheeks hurt when she spoke, and the insides of her mouth burned. Her teeth had probably cut into her mouth when he’d exerted force on her cheek. Zayn glanced contemptuously at her, his expression cold, his tone mocking. “You act all loyal and faithful in front of me, but you behave so sluttily with Lucian? What was with that sweet tone of his?” Julie felt speechless before anger surged. She reached for her phone, then glared vehemently at Zayn as she yelled resolutely, “How is that any of your business? Stop acting like a maniac in front of me!” With that, she turned to leave. Before she’d taken more than two steps, Zayn abruptly shouted, “Hold it!” Julie flinched slightly, but didn’t stop moving. Seeing this, Zayn’s expression darkened, and he shouted threateningly, “Julie, if you dare leave, I’ll tell Lucian all about what happened between us—” “Zayn Peyton!” Julie interrupted, unable to restrain herself any longer. Zayn smiled smugly as he watched Julie stop, thinking his threat had been effective. He began, “Like I said, as long as you listen to me obediently, I naturally won’t—” Julie ruthlessly interrupted him, not giving him a chance to continue, “Tell him if you like. I don’t care anymore.” Zayn froze. “What did you say?” Julie glanced at him. She’d already thought it through. She didn’t have that kind of relationship with Lucian anyway. Even if Lucian found out she’d once been with Zayn, so what? It no longer mattered. “Tell him whatever you want. It doesn’t matter anymore,” she repeated indifferently. She walked out of the VIP room without hesitation, leaving Zayn standing blankly. The smugness on his face vanished instantly, replaced by shock and rage. Just as Julie exited, she heard objects being thrown around inside. She felt speechless to hear the ruckus Zayn was causing. He was never going to grow up. He would forever remain childish, impulsive, and prone to doing as he pleased. Well, he could throw things around as much as he pleased. The reparation costs wouldn’t leave much of a dent in his finances anyway. When Julie walked out of the restaurant, she immediately spotted Lucian leaning against his car, smoking. She subconsciously turned around, wanting to leave. She really didn’t want to deal with Lucian right now. All she wanted was to go home and sleep. But Lucian had already noticed her the moment she stepped out of the restaurant, and there was no way he would let her leave so easily. “Juju,” he called out.
