After the meal, they sat together. Samantha asked, "Jeremiah, have you discovered who's protecting Holden, the village head of Dungo Village?"

Everyone looked at Jeremiah, who held Yvette close. She was conducting the final game test; if successful, FastPulse Technologies' game would launch next month. Lucy had been relentlessly pushing for daily updates.

Jeremiah looked up, his eyes gleaming. With elegant composure, he replied softly, "The person cooperating with South East Aploth is a dismissed deputy director from Normis Customs. His statement implicates a Clusian, Mr. Miller, as the mastermind. Their contact was solely through coded phone signals."

Andrew handed Bonnie a peeled apple. "Jeremiah, can we learn more about Mr. Miller? South East Aploth is vast; knowing he's a man is insufficient. Where do we even begin?"

Andrew's point resonated. Emmett, with a serious expression, added, "Mr. Miller might be an alias, Jeremiah." Such aliases were common in covert dealings.

Jeremiah replied, "No one in the South East Aploth underworld is known as Mr. Miller. The phone number linked to domestic contacts is confirmed as an overseas virtual number."

Charles, thoughtful, glanced at Yvette. "What do you think, Yvette?"

Yvette put away her phone, her delicate eyebrows lifting slightly before her lashes veiled her eyes. A playful air remained. "Voraxia, an ungoverned region, is the world's largest drug production and trafficking hub. It's home to the most infamous drug dealer, and its complex, ever-changing geography makes control difficult.

"There are over three thousand scattered villages. Interpol once collaborated with three local governments on crackdowns. Each major drug dealer commands a small armyโ€”hundreds to over a thousand men. The entire region is involved in the drug trade, so Mr. Miller must need many poisonous insects to control his subordinates. There's only one way..."

Jeremiah smoothly continued, his voice low and steady, "Mr. Miller is a major Voraxian drug dealer, using poisonous insects to train his loyalists."

Yvette's sharp gaze cut through the room. "Didn't you already guess?"

Jeremiah's eyes shimmered faintly; a fleeting smile touched his lips. "We'll have to go there ourselves. I've already investigated. Only one drug dealer in Voraxia is surnamed Millerโ€”a woman, not a man. To get the full picture, we'll need to go to Voraxia." He gently squeezed her fingers.

Emmett said, "Yvette's words remind me of something from three years ago. Hadley Robinson, Voraxia's kingpin, was reportedly killed by Interpol."

Months prior, he and Jeremiah had met Yvette in Kransbay. Heโ€™d initially doubted their compatibility, but now saw Yvette and Jeremiah as a perfect match.

Charles's gaze darkened at the mention of Voraxia; he'd been there several times with Braydon, meeting local dealers.

Andrew, curious, looked at Yvette. "Aren't you with Interpol, Yvette? Did you participate in the Vorax crackdown? Was the Voraxian king difficult to capture?"

Samantha, Emmett, Charles, and even Bonnie (too surprised to eat her apple) focused on Yvette. They'd forgotten her Interpol affiliation, obscured by her numerous identities.

Yvette, calm and composed, rested her chin on her hand. With a subtle eyebrow raise and a slight smile, she casually remarked, "I was there. Hadley wasn't hard to catch. I killed him."

Silence fell. Bonnie dropped her apple, stunned. She couldn't comprehend Yvette's powerโ€”an Interpol agent who'd taken down Voraxia's king.

Andrew was equally shocked. He anticipated another moment of awe. Charles and Emmett masked their surprise with sips of tea. Killing Hadleyโ€”the king whose underlings commanded armiesโ€”was unbelievable...unless it was Yvette.

Samantha stopped eating her chips. The disparity was staggering. While Yvette was dismantling Voraxia's king at eighteen, Samantha was building her business.

Jeremiah's eyes gleamed with admiration. He thought, 'She was eighteen three years ago, and she killed Hadley. That's insane.'

Yvette, sensing their reactions, calmly said, "For this Voraxia trip, Charles and Emmett will accompany us."

The others protested immediately: "We're going too!"

Bonnie, Samantha, and Andrew vehemently disagreed. Samantha, swallowing her chips, declared, "I'm going. I'm a Taekwondo black belt and proficient with firearms. I won't be a burden. Please, Yvette, let me learn from you." She clasped her hands, her face pleading and excited.

Bonnie added, "I want to go. It's related to Dungo Village." Andrew chimed in, "Wherever Bonnie goes, I go."

Yvette, her gaze cold and distant, calmly stated, "Samantha can go. Andrew and Bonnie stay."

Jeremiah nodded, adding with quiet finality, "You two stay in Seacrity. It's decided."

Andrew and Bonnie sighed. Their decision was final.

The Voraxia teamโ€”Yvette, Jeremiah, Samantha, Charles, and Emmettโ€”would leave the day after tomorrow.

Back in their rooms, Samantha whispered something to Andrew, instantly cheering him. Bonnie, witnessing only Andrew's reaction, was left confused.
