The two policemen turned to the other end of the hallway. A beautiful girl, holding a blue bag containing a few books, stood there. Her impatience was evident in her cold eyes.

โ€œMs. Zeller,โ€ Patrick announced loudly, his voice echoing through the building, โ€œthe police are here. Youโ€™re charged with assault and are required to assist in the investigation. What happened?โ€

The commotion drew onlookers from other departments, including Winona. Besides the physics department, no one understood the situation. The police presence surprised everyone, sparking speculation.

โ€œWhat happened with Yvette? The police are here. She must have done something wrong,โ€ one person commented.

โ€œItโ€™s probably a misunderstanding. Letโ€™s not jump to conclusions,โ€ another replied.

Mr. Williams mentioned an assault charge, fueling the gossip. Winona, who had planned to reveal photos of Yvette with a man, was astonished by the police's arrival and the assault charge. Feigning concern, she approached Yvette, saying, โ€œYvie, are you okay? This must be a misunderstanding. Momโ€™s wound has healed. How could you hurt someone?โ€

Winonaโ€™s words reminded the onlookers of the recent incident involving Yvette and her stepmother. Even previous defenders of Yvette fell silent. Winonaโ€™s secret pleasure was evident on her face.

Bonnie rushed out, attempting to explain, โ€œOfficer, Yvette didnโ€™t hurt anyone. It was Ethโ€”โ€ But Yvette interrupted, โ€œShut up, Bonnie. Go back to class.โ€ Physics students quickly pulled Bonnie away.

News of Yvetteโ€™s arrest spread rapidly throughout Argrol University. This was part of Winonaโ€™s plan. She later called Zachary, saying, โ€œDad, Yvieโ€™s been taken by the police!โ€ Patrick, hoping to use this to get rid of Yvette, informed Simon, but Simonโ€™s immediate response โ€“ canceling a meeting and rushing to the station โ€“ indicated a lack of animosity.

Panicked, Bonnie sought help from Jeremiah, first at the physics office, then the library, where she bumped into Andrew, spilling coffee on his expensive shirt. โ€œAndrew! Help!โ€ she shouted.

Andrew, furious, snapped, โ€œBonnie, you clown! Canโ€™t you be more ladylike?โ€

Ignoring his shirt, Bonnie asked, โ€œDo you know where Top Dog is?โ€

Andrew, confused, realized she meant Jeremiah. He revealed that Jeremiah was in Betrico. Bonnie explained Yvetteโ€™s arrest.

Andrewโ€™s demeanor changed. โ€œCalm down. Tell me everything.โ€ After hearing Bonnie's account, he realized Deputy Mayor Brooksโ€™ son, Ethan, was responsible and contacted Jeremiah immediately, aware of his close relationship with Yvette and the potential chaos this would cause. He then drove to the police station with Bonnie.

Jeremiah immediately arranged a private jet back to Seacrity, leaving Emmett to wonder at his urgency. He also called Wyatt, who cursed Daniel and Jonathan for their actions.

At the Seacrity Police Department, Yvette was placed in an isolation room, despite the inappropriateness. Jonathan had ordered special treatment. Lachlan, one of the officers, considered Yvette a delinquent. He saw Ethan's injury report, noting the word "Concussion" in bold.

Everyone knew Ethanโ€™s history of trouble, but his father's influence always ensured his acquittal. Yvette's guilt was predetermined. Lachlan presented the report, saying, โ€œYvette Zeller, this is the evidence. Confess, and your sentence might be reduced.โ€

Yvette, who had remained silent, smirked. โ€œDo you think Iโ€™m scared?โ€

Lachlan and Nolan exchanged glances. Nolan tried a softer approach, warning her about Ethan's influence and the deputy mayor's potential interrogation.

Yvette remained unfazed, calm and composed. โ€œLetโ€™s talk when Daniel comes,โ€ she said, closing her eyes.

The officers, unable to resort to violence, fumed at her composure. Meanwhile, various factions in Seacrity were mobilizing, all for Yvette. A storm was brewing.
