Chapter 57
The man asked in surprise, “Ten times?” His pupils shrank. He thought, “Ten times! That’s 300,000 dollars! I’ve lived this long and never even seen so much money. I didn’t expect this woman to be so generous, so much better than the last one. That one was stingy, only giving 30,000. Not like this one, who just tosses out 300,000 like it’s nothing.”
Elysia asked, “Not willing?” Her eyes narrowed as she looked down at the man.
The middle-aged man quickly said, “We’re willing!” He thought, “How could I refuse such a good deal! And that woman has messed us up so badly. This is the perfect chance to get back at her.”
Elysia said, “I think you don’t need me to tell you what to do. As for the money I promised you, you’ll get it after the job’s done.”
The men said, “Okay! Thanks, lady!” They grinned, their yellow teeth showing, unable to wipe the smiles off their faces.
After Elysia left the hotel, she found a hidden spot, took out her pre-prepared computer, hacked into the hotel’s security system, and deleted any footage of her appearance.
At the same time, Emma received a call from the middle-aged man.
The man said, “The job’s done. You can come check it out.”
Hearing this, Emma’s eyes lit up. She asked, “Did you get it all on video?”
The man said, “Don’t worry. You’ll be more than satisfied.”
Emma said, “Great. I’m on my way.” Hanging up the phone, the smile on Emma’s lips was hard to hide. She had been waiting for this day for so long. Now that it had finally come, she couldn’t contain her joy.
She couldn’t wait to see Elysia in a miserable state, lying lifelessly on the bed, humiliated. She couldn’t believe that after doing such a thing, Elysia would still have a chance to turn things around.
When Emma arrived at the hotel, she took out her room key and opened the door with anticipation, but she didn’t see the scene she had expected. Her brows furrowed instantly. She wondered what was going on.
Before she could think more about it, the middle-aged men stepped forward and grabbed her. The remaining man closed and locked the door. Emma’s heart sank. She said, “I’m your employer. What are you doing? If you anger me, I won’t give you a penny.”
One man chuckled and said, “Employer! A mere 3,000 dollars, do you really think we care?”
Another man chimed in, “Yeah, let me tell you something. Someone offered us a higher price to have some fun with you.”
Emma asked, “Who? Is it that woman from just now?”
One man pinched her chin, looking at her with a playful expression. He said, “You don’t need to know who. Although you’re not as good as that girl from before, you’re not bad either.”
After saying this, he leaned in and roughly kissed her neck.
Emma was repulsed by the stench of smoke coming from the man. She felt like vomiting.
The other middle-aged men, seeing this, all crowded around Emma. Some even started tearing her clothes.
Tears streamed down her face. Emma could only hope that Scott and Robert would arrive soon. If they were a step late, she might really be assaulted.
Before arriving, Emma had sent messages to Scott and Robert, saying she saw Elysia with some strange men in the hotel, asking them to hurry over.
But she never dreamed that the message she intended to humiliate Elysia with would end up being her only lifeline.
Perhaps her prayers were answered, because at that moment, there was a loud knocking on the door.
The man who was taking off his pants paused. He cursed inwardly, “Damn it! Someone else is coming to ruin my fun!” As he was thinking this, the door was kicked open from the outside.
Chapter 57 (continued)
Scott, Bella, and Robert rushed in. They had hurried over as soon as they received Emma’s message.
They had expected to see Elysia when they kicked the door open, but they never imagined that the one being forced into such a situation would be Emma. They couldn’t believe what they saw.
Robert, seeing the middle-aged man still holding Emma’s hand, was filled with rage. He stepped forward and punched the man in the corner of his mouth, and the two immediately started wrestling. The scene quickly became chaotic. The other men joined the fight.
Scott pinched his brow and shouted, “Stop it! All of you, stop it!”
Upon hearing this, the men stopped fighting. They realized this wasn’t the time for fighting.
Bella quickly ran to Emma’s side. She took off her coat and draped it over Emma, then held Emma tightly.
Feeling the warmth of this embrace, Emma’s tears flowed uncontrollably. She thought, ‘Everything that happened today is because of Elysia! It’s all her fault!’
Seeing Emma like this, Bella felt sad. She comforted Emma, “It’s okay, Emma.”
Robert got up from the ground. He had been outnumbered and had taken a few hits, his face now bruised. But he didn’t worry about his injury. He cared about Emma most.
Robert focused on Emma, who was crying her heart out. Watching her like this, his heart ached. He hated himself for not being able to protect her from such humiliation.
Scott, however, was growing impatient. He looked at Emma, his brows furrowed. He asked, “Explain to me what’s going on here.”
Emma, sobbing, said, “It’s Elysia! She did this to me!”
Hearing this, Bella’s brows also furrowed.
Emma pointed at the middle-aged men and explained, “Elysia paid these men off, that’s why they…” She couldn’t continue.
Bella felt her heartache grow. She thought, “Fortunately, Emma is unharmed. If anything had happened, I wouldn’t let Elysia off the hook.”
Robert’s face was grim. He didn’t expect Elysia to do such a thing. He thought, “How could she be so malicious?”
Hearing Emma’s accusation, the men, fearing to offend Elysia and lose the money, quickly spoke up. One of them said, “It was you! You couldn’t wait and asked us to help you out. We haven’t received a penny.”
Other men chimed in, “Yeah, how can you just lie like that!”
Emma was now completely panicked. She didn’t expect these men to side with Elysia and frame her instead.
“Is what they’re saying true?” Scott asked, his brows furrowed, a hint of anger on his face. He thought, “If it is true, I don’t have such a shameless daughter.” Robert looked at Emma in disbelief. Although he didn’t believe what these men were saying, he didn’t know how Emma could prove herself.
“It’s not true! Really, it’s not! Elysia told them to say that, it’s Elysia!” Emma almost shouted, her eyes bloodshot. Then she looked at Robert and said, “Robert, you believe me, right?”
