Elysia revealed she had rejected their marriage proposal, which likely explained their actions. Alice, surprisingly supportive, approved of Elysia's decision.

Ava apologized for her family's inability to attend, explaining they were pressured by the Brown family and she had even escaped her confinement to attend, showing Elysia a scratch on her hand sustained during her escape. Elysia treated Ava's wound, then prepared to go downstairs. Ava insisted on accompanying Elysia, demonstrating her unwavering support despite the potential consequences for her own family. Elysia, touched by Ava’s loyalty, decided to confront the Davis family directly.

Elysia, however, remained unconcerned about the party's attendance, prioritizing the grand gift she had prepared for Emma.
