Now, just like before, they left one guy in the car with me. The rest went off towards the shop. My hands were tied behind my back, so the guy in the driver’s seat didn’t think I was a threat. I reached over and popped the door handle with my mouth. I slammed the door open and ran for it. My goal was the same as the kidnapper’s, the auto shop. I needed to gamble that they’d help me.
I bolted towards them. The auto shop was already in chaos. I saw the young owner. He was rugged, but handsome. Afraid of getting hurt, I ducked and ran. I tripped, and ran smack dab into him, knocking him over. As I fell into his arms, I went pale.
“Sorry, I need your help.”
He looked at me and frowned. The next thing I know, he’s rolling us on the ground. A second later, a chair lands where we used to be. If he hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t be here. The kidnappers noticed I was gone. Things were escalating quickly. I gave the guy a pleading look and said, “I’ll do anything.” But he didn’t answer, and just glared at the kidnappers.
One of the guys yelled, “Dude, don’t get involved in this.” So his name was… With no answer, I slowly lost hope. Guess I was asking for too much. As the head kidnapper told me to come back, I stepped forward. But then I felt someone grab my shoulder. He stepped in front of me and told the kidnappers, “She’s with me now.”
As if God was watching out for me, I heard the sound of a motorcycle. He gave a confident grin. “My backup’s here.” The kidnappers looked back and forth, glared at me, and went on their way. I felt like I could finally breathe, and felt the ropes on my hands loosen. He cut the ropes.
