Chapter 190: Back in the Spotlight

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

I instinctively looked up, my finger pressing the lock button as the phone screen darkened. โ€œYouโ€™re here because of Christopher?โ€ I asked.

Siete met my gaze before responding. โ€œAt this point, youโ€™re the only one who can get him out of this mess.โ€

My grip on the phone tightened slightly before I answered, โ€œThis was my oversight. Iโ€™ll help clear his name.โ€

Siete seemed genuinely surprised, staring at me for a moment. โ€œI didnโ€™t expect you to agree so easily. I thought Iโ€™d be wasting my time coming here.โ€

โ€œThank you, Harmony,โ€ Siete said sincerely.

I looked straight at him. โ€œIโ€™m not doing this for you.โ€

Sieteโ€™s surprise lingered for a moment before he gave a bitter smile. โ€œI know.โ€

โ€œNo matter whatโ€™s gone on between us, it has nothing to do with Christopher. This happened because I wasnโ€™t careful, and itโ€™s my responsibility to clean up the mess I caused.โ€

I explained further, even though I knew there wasnโ€™t much point. Still, I didnโ€™t want Siete to get the wrong idea.

Siete watched me closely. โ€œHarmony, you havenโ€™t changed a bit. Youโ€™re still always thinking of others first.โ€

I pressed my lips together and said nothing more, pulling out my phone instead. The post I had carefully drafted earlier was already on the screen. Taking one last look at it, I tapped send.

โ€œItโ€™s done. Iโ€™ve posted the statement,โ€ I said, putting my phone away. โ€œI should go now. Goodbye.โ€

Without waiting for a reply, I turned and walked off. As soon as I was away from Siete, both Hera and I felt a wave of relief.

Siete watched Hayleyโ€™s figure disappear into the distance. He opened his mouth to say something but swallowed the words at the last second. Instead, he pulled out his phone and checked the post Harmony had just published.

Hello everyone, this is Harmony. Iโ€™m here to clear up some confusion about Mr. Christopher Southwellโ€™s new song. It was a collaborative effort between us. Apologies for any misunderstandings, and thank you for your support!

Little did she know, her post set off a massive ripple effect across the internet. Within a minute of her post going live, the comment count had already amassed ten thousand and was climbing rapidly. In just fifteen minutes, the hashtag #HarmonyRespondstoChristopherNewSongCollab shot straight to the top of Twitterโ€™s trending list.

@tunatails wrote, โ€œOMG, my queen is back! Iโ€™m so happy I could cry. Iโ€™ve been waiting for this day forever!โ€

@starrygaze wrote, โ€œI knew it! Christopherโ€™s song sounded so much like Harmonyโ€™s style. Turns out it wasnโ€™t plagiarismโ€”itโ€™s the real deal!โ€

@onlywithyou wrote, โ€œDoesnโ€™t matter. My goddess is back! Stream the new song NOW!โ€

@alliswell wrote, โ€œThis song deserves to blow up. Letโ€™s make it viral!โ€

Christopherโ€™s POV:

When I logged back online, I was stunned. Harmonyโ€™s fans had flocked to my song, downloading, streaming, and even giving it rewards. My new track had soared to the top of the charts in no time, even breaking records for the fastest downloads. Then I saw Harmonyโ€™s tweet, and my jaw practically hit the floor.

Caesar, on the other hand, sighed in relief. โ€œChristopher, when did you get so close to Harmony? And why didnโ€™t you tell me? If Iโ€™d known you knew her, I wouldโ€™ve begged for an autograph ages ago.โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t know her!โ€ I blurted out, still in complete disbelief.

Caesar thought I was joking. But in my mind, a familiar face suddenly surfaced.
