Chapter 211: No Problems at All

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

I reached out and said, โ€œGive me your phone. No more games until your calculus grade improves. If you make it onto the Presidentโ€™s List next time, then Iโ€™ll return it to you.โ€

Henry furrowed his brows and thought for a moment. In the end, he handed the phone to me with a resigned smile. โ€œHere you go, Boss.โ€

I smiled back and said, โ€œGood boy. If you listen to me, you can play all the games you want after this. I wonโ€™t stop you again.โ€

Henry didnโ€™t say anything else. We both headed downstairs, one after the other.

As soon as we reached the bottom, the maid spoke up. โ€œMr. George has an engagement tonight, so he wonโ€™t be back for dinner. Mr. Tanner and Mr. Henry also mentioned they wouldnโ€™t be home this evening.โ€

I nodded in acknowledgment and walked into the dining room. On the dining table, at the most prominent spot, was the dish I had been craving: wine-braised beef and fish soup. A warm feeling spread through me, and I couldnโ€™t help but smile, my lips curving into a pleased grin.

โ€œWow, wine-braised beef!โ€ Henry quickly pulled out a chair and sat down, eagerly picking up his fork to try it.

Just then, Hera stirred excitedly inside me. I turned around and saw Benjamin suddenly appear from nowhere. He frowned and scolded Henry in a low voice. โ€œHenry!โ€

At the sound of his voice, Henry immediately withdrew his hand and looked up at Benjamin, respectfully calling out, โ€œBen.โ€ It was clear that Henry was somewhat intimidated by Benjamin.

Benjamin gave a brief nod before turning to me. โ€œThe wine-braised beef and fish soup you like. Letโ€™s see how it tastes.โ€

Hearing this, Henry finally understood that the food was for me. He quickly pulled out my chair and said, โ€œBoss, please, sit down.โ€

I was surprised and touched that Benjamin had gone out of his way to prepare my favorite dishes. Hera was absolutely thrilled, exclaiming, โ€œNo wonder heโ€™s our destined mate! I knew heโ€™d fall for you eventually, even if youโ€™ve been hiding your scent.โ€

I smiled at her comment and sat down. After the maids had set all the dishes on the table, neither Benjamin nor Henry moved right away.

I took a bite, and the rich flavors filled my mouth, the taste just as I remembered. โ€œItโ€™s delicious. You should try it too.โ€

Henry, unable to wait any longer, dug in immediately. โ€œBen, these BBQ ribs are amazing!โ€

โ€œIf you like it, eat more,โ€ Benjamin said calmly. The BBQ ribs were indeed delicious, though there was a slight burnt taste. I figured the chef must have gotten the heat wrong while cooking, but I didnโ€™t think much of it.

After dinner, I went to the study and finished explaining the problems to Henry. Just as I was about to leave, my phone in my pocket rang. I pulled it out and saw it was my alarmโ€”Wednesday, the day I gave Benjamin a language class.

โ€œDo you have all the problems figured out? Any more questions?โ€

Henry shook his head and said, โ€œNo, itโ€™s all good now.โ€ Seeing that he was fine, I left the study.

Back in my room, I locked the door behind me and opened my laptop. As soon as I logged in, I saw that Benjamin was already online. I couldnโ€™t help but send him a message. โ€œYouโ€™re on time.โ€

Benjamin responded with a simple grunt, then immediately asked, โ€œLetโ€™s get started. What are we covering today?โ€

I was impressed by Benjaminโ€™s learning ability. In just over a month, he had almost mastered the sentences and grammar of Mormant. Now, even simple conversations were no problem at all.

โ€œLetโ€™s do some situational dialogue today,โ€ I said, creating a context for him. Benjamin was incredibly efficient with his learning. But today, he seemed a bit off.

As we continued, he suddenly asked, โ€œSelena, why do I feel like you remind me of someone from my family?โ€ My heart stopped beating at that.
