Alpha Hayleyโs Destined Mate
Chapter 300: So Lucky
Hayleyโs POV:
I looked at my phone and saw that it was Benjamin calling. I quickly picked up.
โWhere are you? Why arenโt you home yet?โ
His voice, deep and smooth, echoed in my ear, and a smile tugged at my lips. I responded, โIโm out having some barbecue. Do you want to join?โ
โSend me your location; Iโll be there soon.โ
After ending the call, Teri turned to me and asked, โMs. Carson, is that your boyfriend?โ
I chuckled and explained, โHeโs my fiancรฉ.โ
Teriโs eyes went wide in surprise. โMs. Carson, you look like youโre barely in your twenties, and you already have a fiancรฉ? Is he your destined mate?โ
I nodded.
Teriโs eyes sparkled with envy. โWow, Ms. Carson, you are so lucky to have found your destined mate so early! You know, most of us werewolves never even get a chance to meet our destined mate in our lifetime. Not only do you have incredible design talent, but you also found your destined mate. As an Omega myself, who is 25 and hasnโt even been in a relationship, I canโt help but envy you. Ms. Carson, youโre so lucky. Here, let me make a toast to you.โ Teri raised her glass, and we clinked our cups, downing the drinks in one go.
I smiled warmly, โYouโre great too! I can tell you have real potential in design. You should try creating your work; it could open up a whole new world for you.โ
Teri was so moved that she struggled with words. She quickly pulled out a stack of A4 papers from her bag.
โI sketch in my free time, but Iโve never shown anyone my designs. Ms. Carson, would you mind taking a look and maybe giving me some advice?โ
I grunted and said, โIโm no expert, but I can take a look.โ
Then, I flipped through the stack of papers, each one filled with Teriโs designs. Her designs were very safe and conservative, lacking the boldness needed for them to feel fully realized. But something was charming and fresh about her work.
After reviewing them carefully, I said, โYour designs are good, but they need more boldness. If you pushed the boundaries a little more, the results could be very different. Take this one, for example.โ
I pointed to a design and said, โLook at this dress. The hem could be raised slightly to accentuate the waist.โ
Teriโs eyes lit up. She was so inspired by my suggestion that she immediately pulled a pen from her pocket, quickly making changes to the design.
When she finished revising everything I had pointed out, she exclaimed, โMs. Carson, your suggestions are amazing!โ Teri kissed her design several times, clearly thrilled.
โMs. Carson, you know, Iโve always lacked confidence in my work and couldnโt pinpoint what was wrong with it. But after your advice, itโs like a light bulb went off in my mind. Ideas are just flooding in! Ms. Carson, I just got a brilliant idea! I have to write it down!โ Without waiting for me to respond, Teri grabbed her pen and started drawing intensely.
I knew how precious a designerโs inspiration could be, so I didnโt want to interrupt her. I simply sat quietly and continued eating my barbecue.
It wasnโt long before Hera started getting excited, and I knew that meant Benjamin had arrived. He walked over to me and asked, โFinished eating?โ
I set my skewer down and looked at Teri. โItโs getting late. Letโs head home.โ
Only then did Teri look up and notice Benjamin standing next to me. Her eyes widened in disbelief. โWait. Youโre the Alpha of the Midnight Pack, arenโt you?โ
Benjamin nodded calmly.
Teri immediately bowed respectfully. โAlpha.โ
I couldnโt help but smile at her surprise and timidity. She probably hadnโt expected that my destined mate, an Omega, would be an Alpha.
Teri stared at me, wide-eyed, and whispered, โMs. Carson, am I dreaming? The Alpha of the Midnight Pack is your fiancรฉ?โ
