Chapter 314: Blood Moon Pack
Seeing Damien cower like that, Benjamin had no intention of resorting to violence. But Damien had ruined their date. Benjamin coldly said, โTake off your jacket and shirt, and run out of here in just your underwear. If you donโt, Iโll tear you apart right now and wipe your entire Blood Moon Pack from existence!โ
Damien was clearly shaken, his body going limp as he crumpled to the floor. Benjamin looked down at him with a cold, unyielding gaze. โI always keep my word. Youโre welcome to test it. You have one minute to decide.โ
With that, Benjamin shifted back to his human form and calmly turned and walked away. Damien watched him go, trembling uncontrollably. He had never doubted Benjaminโs words, but the idea of an Alpha like him running naked was just too humiliating.
However, Benjamin had made it clear that by sunrise, the Blood Moon Pack would be wiped out. Damien knew that as the Alpha of the most powerful Midnight Pack, Benjamin was fully capable of making it happen. After weighing his options, Damien chose to protect his pack. Reputation and pride were not important. He began to strip off his clothes.
The restaurant was bustling with people, and as soon as they saw what was happening, many couldnโt help but stop and watch, some even laughing at Damien. Damien had never felt so embarrassed in his life, but he knew this was entirely his own fault. With a grim expression, he quickly stripped off the last of his clothes and ran out.
Hayleyโs POV:
I couldnโt help but laugh when I saw Damien, under Benjaminโs pressure, humiliating himself like that. โPit!โ I turned to Benjamin, deliberately ignoring their conversation to maintain my Omega status. I said, โWhat did you say to him? Heโs suddenly so obedient, stripping down and running naked in front of everyone like that.โ
Benjamin answered indifferently, โPeople like him only learn fear when their core interests are threatened. Thatโs when they realize that the things they say sometimes come with a price.โ
To be honest, Damienโs words affected me, but at that moment, Benjaminโs attitude reassured me. I knew I hadnโt misjudged him. This man was someone I could trust with my life. He truly was my destined mate, bound to me by the Moon Goddess.
โBenjamin, doesnโt what he said bother you at all?โ
After all, I was ugly and an Omega. As Damien had pointed out, I had clearly embarrassed Benjamin. Benjamin looked at me and simply said, โI donโt care about his words. I only care about you.โ
I was deeply moved by his words. Maybe he really did love me. Just as I was about to open up and confess everything to him, I started, โActually, 1-โ But before I could finish, my phone unexpectedly rang.
I shot a quick apologetic glance at Benjamin. โSorry, just a second, I need to take this.โ I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw an unfamiliar number. Curious, I answered the call, โHello, may I ask whoโs calling?โ
โThomas is in my hands right now. Have three million dollars ready and bring it to Westhill Manor alone in one hour. If not, Iโll make sure Thomas doesnโt see the sunrise tomorrow!โ
My hand tightened into a fist, and I replied coldly, โWhy should I believe you?โ Then, through the phone, I heard Thomasโs frantic and urgent voice: โBoss, donโt fall for his trap! Please, donโt come-โ Before Thomas finished speaking, he was abruptly cut off. โYou have one hour. If youโre not here by then, he wonโt see the sunrise tomorrow.โ
The line went dead, and a heavy weight settled in my chest. I turned to look at Benjamin, who had noticed the shift in my mood. He asked, concern in his voice, โDid something happen?โ
I pretended to be calm and said, โNothing serious. I just wonโt be able to join you for the movie later. I have something urgent to handle.โ Benjamin didnโt ask any more questions. He simply said gently, โLet me take you there.โ
After a momentโs consideration, I shook my head. โNo, itโs fine. Thank you, though. When I get back, I have something important to tell you.โ Once I dealt with this matter, I would confess everything to Benjamin.
