Chapter 355: Scenes Related to Harmony

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

Hearing him say that, I forced myself to stay calm and tried to act nonchalant. โ€œThere are so many people in this world; itโ€™s no surprise some of them look alike.โ€

Christopher seemed like he wanted to say something else, but Christine spoke up, shifting the topic.

โ€œHayley, youโ€™re really good at playing the guitar,โ€ she said, giving me a thumbs-up. โ€œI donโ€™t know why, but when I hear you play, so many images related to Harmony just pop into my mind. Theyโ€™re scattered, but they really stick with me,โ€ she added thoughtfully.

โ€œOh? What do you remember?โ€ I asked, intrigued.

Christine shook her head with a sigh. โ€œI think itโ€™s because Iโ€™m just an Omega, so it takes me longer to recover.โ€

I gave her a reassuring smile and comforted her. โ€œItโ€™s okay. Take your time. One day, youโ€™ll remember everything.โ€

โ€œBy the way, are you going back to school?โ€ I asked, changing the subject.

Christine nodded eagerly. โ€œI had to leave in such a rush that I didnโ€™t handle all the paperwork, but it saved me lots of work. I should be back at school next week.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s great!โ€ I said, genuinely pleased for her.

I stayed at Christineโ€™s house until late, reluctant to leave. Christopher had to remind me several times before I finally left.

On the drive back, Christopher asked, โ€œWhen did you learn to play the guitar? I donโ€™t remember you ever mentioning it before.โ€

I turned my head to look at him and casually replied, โ€œOh, it was a long time ago. I just havenโ€™t played in a while, so itโ€™s a bit rusty.โ€

โ€œReally? I can tell youโ€™re good at it,โ€ he said, sounding sincere. โ€œI think your style is really similar to Harmonyโ€™s. Even though youโ€™re just an Omega, your ability to mimic is incredible,โ€ he continued.

โ€œI bet you really like Harmony, donโ€™t you? Iโ€™ve tried to meet her a few times, but I havenโ€™t found the right opportunity. She doesnโ€™t seem too interested in meeting me.โ€

As he mentioned this, Christopher looked a little frustrated.

โ€œMy manager has reached out to Harmony a few times, but we still havenโ€™t been able to set up a meeting. Sheโ€™s just as mysterious as the rumors say,โ€ he sighed, shaking his head.

Hearing him keep prying about Harmony, I furrowed my brows and asked, โ€œDo you need something from her?โ€

โ€œNothing serious. I just wanted to learn a thing or two from a master,โ€ he said casually.

Then he asked, โ€œI can tell youโ€™re probably a fan of Harmony too. If I ever meet her, Iโ€™ll definitely get an autograph for you.โ€

Lowering my head, I didnโ€™t know what to say. Should I tell him that I am Harmony?

I hesitated for a moment, then scratched my car awkwardly. โ€œIโ€“I donโ€™t think I need that.โ€

Christopher didnโ€™t catch the odd tone in my voice and kept going. โ€œItโ€™s okay if you donโ€™t want an autograph. If I meet her, maybe I can take you along and you can see her in person.โ€

I nodded, then asked, โ€œDo you really want to meet her?โ€

Christopher gave me a soft smile and answered seriously. โ€œTo be honest, I wasnโ€™t all that interested at first. But sheโ€™s so mysterious, you know? People are naturally drawn to things that are hard to understand. The more mysterious something is, the more you want to know about it.โ€

โ€œSo I just want to understand the person behind the mystery. Thatโ€™s all,โ€ he added with a shrug.

โ€œSheโ€™s so talented. Do you think she might be one of those powerful Alphas?โ€

I couldnโ€™t help but laugh at that idea.

โ€œWell, I think one day, youโ€™ll get your wish,โ€ I said honestly.

Christopher thought I was trying to comfort him and replied casually. โ€œI hope so! But donโ€™t worry; if I ever meet her, Iโ€™ll definitely take you with me. Iโ€™ll help you fulfill your fan dream.โ€

I smiled and nodded. He seemed to be in a much better mood now, and with a grin, he pressed the gas pedal, speeding up as we headed home.

Once we arrived, Christopher turned off the engine, and I opened the car door to step out. As soon as I walked inside, I spotted Benjaminโ€™s jacket hanging on the coat rack. A surge of happiness ran through me, but Hera didnโ€™t seem overly excited. I couldnโ€™t tell if Benjamin had really come back or not.

I quickly asked, โ€œGloria, has Benjamin come back?โ€

Gloria replied, โ€œMs. Hayley, the alpha hasnโ€™t returned yet.โ€

Instantly, I felt a wave of disappointment. It had been days since I last saw Benjamin, and I had no idea what he had been up to.

โ€œMs. Hayley, is there anything else you need?โ€ Gloria asked.

I shook my head and said, โ€œNo, Iโ€™m just going upstairs.โ€

Once in my room, I took out my phone and called Benjamin, but the phone rang for a long time without anyone answering. I sighed and hung up, tossing my phone aside. Sitting at the vanity, I began to remove my makeup. Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I froze, suddenly remembering something. After a moment of deep thought, I grabbed my phone again and dialed Thomasโ€™s number.
