Chapter 355: Scenes Related to Harmony
Hayleyโs POV:
Hearing him say that, I forced myself to stay calm and tried to act nonchalant. โThere are so many people in this world; itโs no surprise some of them look alike.โ
Christopher seemed like he wanted to say something else, but Christine spoke up, shifting the topic.
โHayley, youโre really good at playing the guitar,โ she said, giving me a thumbs-up. โI donโt know why, but when I hear you play, so many images related to Harmony just pop into my mind. Theyโre scattered, but they really stick with me,โ she added thoughtfully.
โOh? What do you remember?โ I asked, intrigued.
Christine shook her head with a sigh. โI think itโs because Iโm just an Omega, so it takes me longer to recover.โ
I gave her a reassuring smile and comforted her. โItโs okay. Take your time. One day, youโll remember everything.โ
โBy the way, are you going back to school?โ I asked, changing the subject.
Christine nodded eagerly. โI had to leave in such a rush that I didnโt handle all the paperwork, but it saved me lots of work. I should be back at school next week.โ
โThatโs great!โ I said, genuinely pleased for her.
I stayed at Christineโs house until late, reluctant to leave. Christopher had to remind me several times before I finally left.
On the drive back, Christopher asked, โWhen did you learn to play the guitar? I donโt remember you ever mentioning it before.โ
I turned my head to look at him and casually replied, โOh, it was a long time ago. I just havenโt played in a while, so itโs a bit rusty.โ
โReally? I can tell youโre good at it,โ he said, sounding sincere. โI think your style is really similar to Harmonyโs. Even though youโre just an Omega, your ability to mimic is incredible,โ he continued.
โI bet you really like Harmony, donโt you? Iโve tried to meet her a few times, but I havenโt found the right opportunity. She doesnโt seem too interested in meeting me.โ
As he mentioned this, Christopher looked a little frustrated.
โMy manager has reached out to Harmony a few times, but we still havenโt been able to set up a meeting. Sheโs just as mysterious as the rumors say,โ he sighed, shaking his head.
Hearing him keep prying about Harmony, I furrowed my brows and asked, โDo you need something from her?โ
โNothing serious. I just wanted to learn a thing or two from a master,โ he said casually.
Then he asked, โI can tell youโre probably a fan of Harmony too. If I ever meet her, Iโll definitely get an autograph for you.โ
Lowering my head, I didnโt know what to say. Should I tell him that I am Harmony?
I hesitated for a moment, then scratched my car awkwardly. โIโI donโt think I need that.โ
Christopher didnโt catch the odd tone in my voice and kept going. โItโs okay if you donโt want an autograph. If I meet her, maybe I can take you along and you can see her in person.โ
I nodded, then asked, โDo you really want to meet her?โ
Christopher gave me a soft smile and answered seriously. โTo be honest, I wasnโt all that interested at first. But sheโs so mysterious, you know? People are naturally drawn to things that are hard to understand. The more mysterious something is, the more you want to know about it.โ
โSo I just want to understand the person behind the mystery. Thatโs all,โ he added with a shrug.
โSheโs so talented. Do you think she might be one of those powerful Alphas?โ
I couldnโt help but laugh at that idea.
โWell, I think one day, youโll get your wish,โ I said honestly.
Christopher thought I was trying to comfort him and replied casually. โI hope so! But donโt worry; if I ever meet her, Iโll definitely take you with me. Iโll help you fulfill your fan dream.โ
I smiled and nodded. He seemed to be in a much better mood now, and with a grin, he pressed the gas pedal, speeding up as we headed home.
Once we arrived, Christopher turned off the engine, and I opened the car door to step out. As soon as I walked inside, I spotted Benjaminโs jacket hanging on the coat rack. A surge of happiness ran through me, but Hera didnโt seem overly excited. I couldnโt tell if Benjamin had really come back or not.
I quickly asked, โGloria, has Benjamin come back?โ
Gloria replied, โMs. Hayley, the alpha hasnโt returned yet.โ
Instantly, I felt a wave of disappointment. It had been days since I last saw Benjamin, and I had no idea what he had been up to.
โMs. Hayley, is there anything else you need?โ Gloria asked.
I shook my head and said, โNo, Iโm just going upstairs.โ
Once in my room, I took out my phone and called Benjamin, but the phone rang for a long time without anyone answering. I sighed and hung up, tossing my phone aside. Sitting at the vanity, I began to remove my makeup. Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I froze, suddenly remembering something. After a moment of deep thought, I grabbed my phone again and dialed Thomasโs number.
