Chapter 397: Not a Fan

Hayleyโ€™s POV:

I watched their backs, my brow furrowing slightly, and reluctantly followed. For Benjamin, Iโ€™d hold my temper. If it werenโ€™t for him, I would have unleashed Hera and given them a lesson they wouldnโ€™t forget.

We walked into the Chanel boutique, and I had no interest in the clothes or bags. As I watched them enjoying themselves, I made my way to the lounge area and sat down. Soon, Vivian came over holding two bags. โ€œHayley, which one do you think looks better?โ€

I looked up briefly and said, โ€œThe one on the right. Itโ€™s more elegant.โ€

โ€œReally? I think the one on the left looks great too. Odessa, what do you think?โ€

Odessa smiled and said, โ€œI think both are great. Letโ€™s just get both.โ€

Vivian quickly agreed, โ€œTrue, theyโ€™re different styles, so theyโ€™ll go with different outfits. Letโ€™s take them both.โ€ She handed the bags to the sales associate.

โ€œLetโ€™s go ahead and pay. How much is it?โ€

The sales associateโ€™s eyes widened. Such a big spender, buying two limited-edition bags at once. She quickly replied, โ€œBoth of these are limited editions. The total comes to 300,000.โ€

Vivian didnโ€™t even bat an eye as she pulled out her card and handed it over. โ€œJust go ahead and swipe it.โ€

The sales associate swiped the card and handed her the receipt.

After the purchase, Vivian walked up to me, her tone full of self-satisfaction. โ€œIโ€™m so thrilled today. I got the bags I really wanted.โ€

I responded calmly, โ€œCongrats.โ€

Vivian turned to Odessa. โ€œOdessa, those clothes over there look great too.โ€ Then, she grabbed several items and headed straight to the fitting room.

At that moment, Odessa walked up to me, seemingly casual as she said, โ€œGirls should treat themselves well. You could take a look too, see if thereโ€™s anything you like. Butโ€ฆโ€

She paused, her eyes scanning me from head to toe with a look of disdain. โ€œJudging by your shabby outfit, Iโ€™m guessing you donโ€™t come to the mall often. But itโ€™s fine, go ahead and take a look. If you find something you like, Iโ€™ll buy it for you.โ€

I fought the urge to let Hera tear her apart and politely replied, โ€œNo, thank you. Iโ€™m not a fan of the clothes and bags here. I appreciate your kindness, though.โ€

Odessa glanced at me with a look of disdain before proudly turning her head away.

When Vivian emerged from the fitting room, Odessa didnโ€™t waste any time. She turned to the sales associate and said, โ€œWrap these up for me.โ€

Vivian was surprised. โ€œNo, Odessa, Iโ€™ll buy them myself.โ€

โ€œEnough, Vivian! Donโ€™t be so polite with me,โ€ Odessa said, patting her hand affectionately.

Without hesitation, Odessa bought Vivian several new clothing items, not batting an eye as she did so. I didnโ€™t feel much about it; I just followed Odessaโ€™s lead as the sales associate handed me all the shopping bags. For a while, I felt like a servant, carrying everything for them as I trailed behind.

Odessa then took Vivian to buy jewelry, spending millions before they finally called it a day.

โ€œOdessa, weโ€™ve bought so much today, that should be enough. Youโ€™ve already spent quite a bit on me, letโ€™s call it a day,โ€ Vivian said, giving me a smug glance.

Only then did Odessa turn to look at me, her voice laced with sarcasm. โ€œItโ€™s fine, I enjoy spending money on you. Only someone like you, a high-ranking Beta, can truly show off the value of these clothes. Itโ€™s just a few million. If itโ€™s something you like, I will gladly buy it for you.โ€

โ€œThank you, Odessa!โ€ Vivian beamed, clearly ecstatic.

Watching their deliberate performance, I remained calm, but Hera was growing increasingly impatient and agitated.

โ€œFor families like ours, money is nothing. But for ordinary people, it would take a lifetime of hard work to earn even a fraction of a few million,โ€ Odessa said, her gaze casually glancing over me.

โ€œHayley, Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ve never bought anything like this, right? Itโ€™s good for a girl to broaden her horizons,โ€ she added, her tone dripping with disdain.

I understood now. They called me here thinking I couldnโ€™t afford these so-called luxury items, just to mock and humiliate me. Theyโ€™d even made me carry their things, treating me like an Omega maid. But their behavior was so vile and shameless that my patience was starting to wear thin. As an Alpha, my temper wasnโ€™t the best.

I locked eyes with Odessa and sneered, โ€œMrs. Southwell, Iโ€™ve definitely broadened my horizons today. I now know there are still people so full of themselves.โ€

โ€œWhat did you say?!โ€ Odessaโ€™s eyes widened in shock as she turned to stare at me.
