Chapter 407: She Still Hadnโt Come Home?
Hayleyโs POV:
โThrow her into the trunk,โ I heard a male voice say. Several people quickly threw me into a car and started the engine.
Benjaminโs POV:
I had been ringing Hayleyโs doorbell for a while, but there was no answer. My wolf, Lawrence, couldnโt detect the faintest trace of her scent. I checked the time. It was already late, and she still hadnโt come home.
I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed Hayleyโs number. โHello, the number youโre trying to reach is currently unavailableโฆโ A wave of concern washed over me, and I immediately called Tanner.
โIs Hayley still at the studio?โ
Tanner replied, โShe was still at the studio when I left. She should be home by now. If youโre looking for her, why not just call?โ
โHer phoneโs off,โ I answered, my mood heavy with worry. After saying that, I didnโt wait for his reply and hung up the call.
Thinking about Hayley, an Omega, I worried she might be in danger and rushed to Tannerโs design studio. When I arrived, I found the large studio empty. I immediately approached the security guard by the door. โDid you see a girl leave here?โ
The guard thought for a moment before replying, โYou must be talking about the girl from the design room across the hall. Itโs strange, though; she usually leaves by this time, but I havenโt seen her today. She probably hasnโt left yet.โ
I glanced back at the studio, and for some reason, a deeper sense of worry settled in. Lawrence, my wolf, grew increasingly restless and agitated. I returned to the studio, only to find the door locked. I called out Hayleyโs name, but there was no response.
Just then, Tanner hurried over. โBen, have you found Hayley?โ
I asked, โHave you seen her?โ
Tanner shook his head anxiously, then spoke up. โDo you think somethingโs happened to Hayley?โ
His words instantly set off alarm bells in my mind, and I immediately asked, โWhatโs going on?โ
Tanner then explained everything that had happened with Clarice earlier that morning. He spoke with deep guilt in his voice, โI shouldโve stopped her from getting into that confrontation with Clariceโs agent. Clarice is backed by witches and the underworldโฆ Do you think they could have taken Hayley?โ
My fists clenched silently, and I couldnโt help but snap, โFind her, now. And make sure itโs not related to her, or I wonโt let it go.โ
Tanner flinched at my words, trembling slightly, but immediately turned and began making calls to find her. I quickly contacted my assistant, Tyrone, and ordered him to find Hayley as soon as possible, at any cost.
Hayleyโs POV:
When I regained consciousness, I immediately realized that this situation was unlike any I had faced before. They carried the scent of witches, and I could feel my limbs were bound, completely unable to move. My legs wouldnโt straighten, and a faint, tingling numbness lingered in them.
โHera?โ I called out several times, but there was no response. I tried to struggle, but I couldnโt muster any strength. I had underestimated them! I should have handed myself over to Hera from the start to take them down.
โThis b*tch is awake,โ I heard a lewd male voice sneer. I immediately stopped what I was doing, and my whole body stiffened.
โItโs better if she wakes up. I donโt want to have sex with a corpse. If she wakes up and screams when I f*ck her, I can have more funโฆโ
โHahahahaโฆ Thatโs true. How long will it take for us to reach our destination?โ
โDonโt worry! Itโs almost there, just a few minutes left. Youโre that impatient?โ
โWhat are you talking about? This woman is pretty, and we are lucky to have her todayโฆโ
A few people were talking while letting out lewd laughs. They were saying extremely vulgar and disgusting things, and I silently clenched my fists, unable to hold back my anger. I was trembling with rage, but with a cloth stuffed in my mouth, I couldnโt make a sound no matter how hard I tried to speak.
All I could do was cautiously work at loosening the ropes binding my hands. At that moment, the car hit a bump, and my head slammed hard against the door. The pain made me gasp sharply. I could feel the car veering further into a more isolated area. I had no idea when Hera would wake up, and in my current situation, it seemed like I could only rely on myself to escape.
