Chapter 484: Impressive Speech

Hayleyโ€™s POV: +8 Pearls

Kirsty spread her hands, her tone dripping with disdain as if she were some omnipotent deity. โ€œAnyone with eyes can see the difference. When I stand next to Hayley, this ugly Omega, itโ€™s obvious whoโ€™s more attractive and whoโ€™s taking advantage of whom. The answer is clear.โ€

For a moment, the watching crowd seemed swayed by her words. When they looked at me again, their gazes held a hint of pity.

Kirsty continued weaving her lies. โ€œEveryone whoโ€™s met Hayleyโ€™s fiancรฉ knows how perfect he is. The two of them donโ€™t match at all. She only got lucky being chosen as his mate.โ€

โ€œBut now that heโ€™s met me, he understands Iโ€™m the one who truly deserves him.โ€

I couldnโ€™t help but laugh at how absurd her claims were. This woman was utterly delusional, spouting nonsense the moment she lost control. If she knew Benjamin was the Alpha of the Midnight Pack, I wonder if sheโ€™d still have the audacity to tell such blatant lies.

I didnโ€™t rush to expose her lies. Instead, I replied calmly, โ€œYour speech was quite impressive. Youโ€™d make a great public speaker. But I think youโ€™ve misunderstood something. No one was talking about you just now. Youโ€™re the one who came running in and spilled everything yourself. How do you expect people to interpret that?โ€

Loretta, quick on her feet, chimed in, โ€œExactly. We werenโ€™t discussing you at all. You exposed yourself!โ€

โ€œI get it now. Youโ€™re nothing more than a gold digger, throwing yourself at playboys and even trying to seduce Hayleyโ€™s fiancรฉ!โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t slander me!โ€ Kirsty stomped her foot angrily, pointing at Loretta as she shouted, her words almost incoherent. โ€œHayley talks bad about people behind their backs, and you, her so-called friend, are just as despicable!โ€

I was about to defend Loretta when a deep, magnetic male voice cut through the air. โ€œWatch your words.โ€

Hera, the wolf spirit inside me, stirred excitedly. I looked up and saw Benjamin, dragging a suitcase, walking toward us unhurriedly. He stopped in front of Kirsty, towering over her with an imposing Alpha aura. His voice was cold and authoritative. โ€œWhat you just said constitutes defamation. I have every right to file a lawsuit on behalf of my fiancรฉe.โ€

โ€œUnless something unexpected happens, youโ€™ll be receiving a court summons within a week. Apologize to my fiancรฉe immediately and ask for her forgiveness.โ€

Benjamin didnโ€™t spare her another glance, but the commanding tone in his voice left no room for argument. Kirsty hunched her shoulders, her head bowed in silence.

Benjaminโ€™s gaze turned icy as he waited for her response. When she remained unresponsive, he narrowed his eyes and said coldly, โ€œSo, youโ€™d prefer to face legal consequences?โ€

Kirstyโ€™s head drooped even lower. She opened her mouth but couldnโ€™t force out a word. I stood beside Benjamin, watching with interest to see how sheโ€™d react.

Suddenly, one of the girls in the crowd stepped forward and tugged at Kirstyโ€™s sleeve.
