Chapter 232
The King of Kicks made Mr. Wangley spurt blood without using half his strength. Full strength would likely have killed Mr. Wangley instantly. Were experts from the top tenth of the Hundred Immortals so terrifying?
"Brilliant! King of Kicks, you've blown our minds!" Quentin's initial surprise gave way to a smile as he showered the King of Kicks with flattery. He hoped that cultivating a relationship with such a master would help him solve future problems easily.
Natasha frowned slightly. "Mr. Wangley, are you okay?" One of their allies had been injured before the battle even began, and she felt the King of Kicks had gone too far.
Mr. Wangley wiped the blood from his mouth and bowed. "I'm okay. King of Kicks, I expected no less. I concede defeat wholeheartedly."
The old man raised his head arrogantly. "At least you know your limits."
"Alright, everyone, back to preparations. We cannot afford to lose tonight's battle!" Everyone left immediately after Natasha's order.
Boulderthorn intentionally spread news of the battle, and by 7:00 PM, Williams Dojo was overflowing. Martial arts enthusiasts flocked to watch, with duels already taking place in the battle ring. Anticipation was high.
Dustin and Ruth were the first to arrive, taking their seats. Dustin heard a familiar voice. "Rhys, why are you here?" He turned to see Julie approaching with a group of young people.
"You're here. Why can't I?" Dustin replied calmly.
A muscular man beside Julie asked, "Julie, who is this?"
Julie intentionally demeaned Dustin. "Otto, this is my ex-cousin-in-law. My cousin dumped him because he's useless."
Otto sized Dustin up and sneered, "Oh, I see. Such slim arms and legs, what a sissy. No wonder no woman wants him."
Dustin responded coolly, "If I'm a sissy, are you a chimpanzee?"
Otto's appearance—a hairy man with tanned skin—caused a moment of stunned silence. The crowd quickly recovered, however.
"Hey! What do you mean? Otto is a handsome man—he doesn't look like a chimpanzee at all!"
"Do you know who he is? He's the city's kickboxing champion! Show some respect!"
"That's right! Look at your arms and legs; Otto could easily break them!"
The crowd roared its disapproval.
Otto's face darkened. "You! You savage! Stop being a smart mouth. Let's have a battle and fight like a man!"
Dustin refused without hesitation. "I'm not interested."
Otto sneered, "Not interested? I bet you're afraid. Don't worry, I won't beat you to death; we can learn from each other."
Dustin remained silent. Julie mocked, "Rhys, aren't you cocky? Why are you afraid of Otto? You don't even dare to fight him."
Otto provoked him further. "I can fight with one hand if you're afraid. Or only my legs, if you like. How's that? I dare you!"
The crowd jeered. "Such a coward! He doesn't dare fight Otto, even if it's just with his legs!" "Definitely! What a shame to us men!" "Why don't you just be a woman?"
The young people laughed, as if they had heard the funniest joke.
