Chapter 233
Dustin was speechless, overwhelmed by the clamoring crowd. "Where did these psychopaths come from?" he thought. They looked deranged, howling and shouting incessantly like a pack of dogs.
"Hey, enough!" Ruth, sitting beside them, could take no more.
Otto's eyes lit up with burning desire. "Gosh, there's a beauty here!" Her striking figure and appearance captivated him. "Hey beautiful, you should break up with such a coward. He'll probably be busy saving his own life when you're in danger," Otto taunted.
"Exactly! You should find a boyfriend like Otto. Look at his muscles! It'll make you feel secure!" the crowd jeered.
Ruth snorted contemptuously. "He's so tanned and ugly. Why would any woman want a man like him?"
"Hey, what nonsense are you talking, you little bitch! Watch your mouth!"
"Damn it! I'll probably beat you up if you're not a woman!"
The crowd grew angrier after hearing her words.
Otto raised his hand to quell the argument. "Enough. Don't bother her. She's just a woman. We should act like gentlemen." He affected a gentlemanly demeanor, unwilling to lose his composure in front of a beauty like Ruth.
Julie scoffed, shaking her head. Her upper lip curled with disdain. "Dustin, I thought you were hiding your light under a bushel. It turns out you're a good-for-nothing after all. You're such a wimp! You only dare to pick fights with people weaker than you and even rely on women to protect you. No doubt why Dahlia dumped you!"
"He didn't even dare to accept the battle with Otto. How useless!" she thought.
Dustin stuck his finger in his ear. "Are you done? If yes, get as far away from me as you can. You're so noisy and irritating, buzzing nonstop like a fly." He found her incessant noise unbearable.
Julie gritted her teeth, her face flushing. She glanced coquettishly at Otto. "Otto, have you heard what he just said? He called me a fly! How could he?"
Otto's face fell. "Insolence! How dare you say something like that to my girl! Apologize immediately, or don't blame me for being rude!" He had always disliked Dustin but hadn't had the opportunity to confront him before. This was perfect; he could protect Julie, his girlfriend.
Dustin sneered, looking at Otto as if he were an idiot. "Apologize? Do you think you're worthy of that?"
Otto was furious. "You! You better give up before it's too late! I'll show you the power of a kickboxing champion!" He said nothing more and attacked.
He took a small step and jumped, preparing his stealth attack, "Hot Knees." The movement was powerful yet graceful; a precisely targeted blow could easily defeat his opponent. It was his best offensive move.
"Such a badass, Otto!" "Did you see that? This is Otto's masterstroke! He's unstoppable!" "One must stay as far away from him as possible when he uses Hot Knees!"
The crowd flattered Otto even as he began his move.
However, the next moment, Otto's body, still in midair, was flipped by Dustin with a swift blow and crashed to the ground. He landed hard, lying motionless, as if dead.
"Otto!" The crowd was stunned. They hadn't expected Otto, a kickboxing champion, to be defeated in a single move. It was unbelievable.
Dustin dusted off his hands and sat down. "How weak," he thought, finally at peace.
"Otto! Otto!"
Realizing what had happened, the young people rushed to help Otto, slapping and pinching him to try and wake him.
