Chapter 261
Isfrid and her team, standing behind Dustin, fared worse. They had difficulty breathing and involuntarily staggered backward.
“Is this what a divine-level martial artist is like? How frightening!”
The crowd exchanged apprehensive glances, silently worried.
Dustin sneered coldly at Joshua's oncoming attack. With a swift move, he landed a fierce slap across Joshua's face. The thunderous slap sent Joshua spinning backward in a backflip, his head striking the ground hard.
Everyone was stunned into silence.
“What the fuck!”
The abrupt scene shook everyone. No one could believe that the previously heroic Joshua had fallen to Dustin's single slap. They wondered if it was a coincidence or an accident.
Jade and Tina’s faces paled as they rushed to Joshua’s side. They helped him to his feet while he remained dizzy.
“Josh, are you alright?” Jade asked, worried.
“What happened just now?” Joshua shook his head, dazed. Everything happened so suddenly that he hadn’t noticed Dustin’s movements. He only felt his vision go dark, and the next thing he knew, he was on the ground.
“You were beaten to the ground by that bastard,” Jade explained, her expression strange.
“No! That’s impossible!” Joshua couldn't believe it. “How could he have hit me? I must have slipped and fallen!”
“That’s right! You must have slipped!” Tina nodded vehemently.
“Kiddo! That didn’t count. Let’s go again!” Joshua refused to admit defeat. With a tap of his feet, he launched himself at Dustin again.
Another resounding slap echoed before he was sent flying back with even greater force. Joshua suffered a crushing defeat, badly battered.
The crowd was shocked again. They could have explained his first fall as a coincidence or accident, but the second was undeniably remarkable.
“Let her go,” Dustin spat coldly.
“You—you’ve gone too far! I won’t be able to sleep if I don’t kill you right now!” Joshua flew into a rage, pushing the two women away and launching himself at Dustin a third time.
This time, instead of empty fists, he drew a dagger from his waist. With a weapon in hand, his attack would be lethal.
“Go to hell!” As he drew near, Joshua swung his dagger forcefully. A sharp whistle sliced the air; only the gleam of the dagger was visible as it hurtled toward Dustin’s forehead with ferocious speed.
Dustin remained still, absorbing the attack. With a loud bang, the dagger exploded on contact with his forehead, dissipating into sparks of light.
“What?” Joshua’s pupils dilated in horrified shock.
How was that possible? Dustin had taken his slash head-on. But Joshua was a divine-level martial artist! His slashes could shatter boulders; even a block of steel would be sliced in two by his previous attack, yet Dustin had blocked it with his bare head!
“Impossible! I must have been mistaken!” Joshua shook his head furiously, unable to believe it.
