Chapter 262

Joshua gritted his teeth and brandished his dagger. "Die!" he roared, exerting all his strength into the attack, channeling every ounce of his internal energy. He believed Dustin couldn't block it even if he were made of steel.

"Hmph!" Dustin scoffed, clearly impatient. As the assault came, he moved, grabbed the blade firmly, and crushed it with a pair of crisp metallic crunches. The refined iron dagger shattered into pieces.

"What?" Joshua was bewildered.

Before he could react, Dustin extended an arm, pressing a finger to Joshua's chest. "Boom!" Joshua's bones felt like they disintegrated; he fell limp to the ground, numb and immobile.

"What did you do to me?" Joshua gasped, shocked and horrified. He never imagined defeat at the hands of an unknown kid. He was a divine-level martial artist, Boulderthorn's direct disciple! He should have been invincible in Swinton after his return. Why couldn't he defeat this punk? Where did he even come from?

Ignoring him, Dustin looked down condescendingly, as if at an ant. "Let her go!"

"Punk! You can't be my opponent! What trick did you use?" Joshua still couldn't believe it, refusing to accept his defeat at the hands of someone like Dustin.

"You speak too much nonsense!" Dustin snapped, violently stomping on Joshua's knees. A crisp crack echoed as blood sprayed everywhere. Joshua screamed in agony, his face contorted in pain, sweat beading on his forehead. "How dare you!" he cried. "You insolent bastard!"

The crowd erupted in anger at Joshua's injuries. Numerous Hummer family guards swarmed in from all directions, surrounding Dustin. They were armed and clearly prepared.

"Rhys! Let go of my brother! Otherwise, on my command, you will be shot!" Tina shrieked, feigning bravery. Even though Dustin was powerful, he was still vulnerable. With so many armed guards, escape unscathed seemed impossible.

"Fire if you dare. I'd like to see who dies first," Dustin remarked coldly, showing no fear.

Tina was exasperated. With Joshua beside Dustin, he'd be hit too.

"Dustin Rhys! We're in Hummer Villa. This isn't a place for such atrocious behavior. Let him go! Otherwise, you will regret it!" Jade's expression was stone-cold. She hadn't expected Joshua's defeat either. However, she knew power trumped bravery. Joshua had the Hummer family and Boulderthorn behind him; after marrying her, he'd also have the Grant family's support. Who would dare challenge him then?

"Regret it? I'd like to see how much I'll regret it!" He stomped on Joshua's other leg, breaking it.
