Listen to this chapter:

"Boom!"

Su Chen's words crashed over Basha like a tidal wave, a shiver coursing through his body. His expression was grim. Su Chen was right; in a duel between experts, composure was paramount; victory or defeat often hinged on a hair's breadth. Had his opponent been a true master, he would be dead.

"Who exactly are you!" Basha demanded, his voice hoarse, the young man's skill a shocking revelation.

"The person who will send you to your grave today." A cold smile played on Su Chen's lips.

"Good, let's see if you have the ability!"

Basha slammed his foot into the ground, charging like a enraged beast, cracking the concrete. He unleashed a devastating punch aimed at Su Chen's face, a blow capable of shattering the void.

Su Chen didn't dodge. He calmly raised an arm, extending it towards Basha's chest. Basha, seeing this, tried to block with his other arm, his punch still hurtling towards Su Chen's face, mere centimeters away. But Su Chen's arm moved with uncanny speed and fluidity, slipping over Basha's arm, his hand shifting its target from Basha's chest to his throat.

Terror seized Basha. He tried to retreat, but it was too late. He'd only partially withdrawn his punch and taken a half-step back when Su Chen's grip clamped around his throat.

Shock etched Basha's face. Su Chen's movements were impossibly unpredictable, defying logic. The previously boisterous crowd fell silent, staring in stunned disbelief. Moments ago, Basha had been the aggressor; now, the young man held him by the neck.

The onlookers exchanged bewildered glances. Pei Song was dumbfounded. He'd witnessed a victory he hadn't even seen happen. Yunlong, beside him, was ecstatic. He'd believed in Su Chen's win, but not this easily.

"Now do you believe what I said?" Su Chen mocked, his smile widening. In martial arts cultivation, he might have rivals, but in close combat, he challenged anyone. He'd used only fighting techniques, no cultivation at all. Basha, though formidable, had a clear weaknessโ€”a previously injured right leg that hampered his speed. Despite Su Chen having pointed this out, Basha couldn't avoid it.

Basha's terror deepened; Su Chen had previously claimed he could kill him with one move.

"Alright, now you can go on your way in peace." Su Chen said dispassionately, about to finish Basha off.

"Wait!" A panicked voice interrupted.

Su Chen looked down from the platform to see Lai Jie, the boxing ring's manager.

"Sir, please, spare Basha." Lai Jie pleaded softly; Basha was their cash cow.

Su Chen shook his head, smiling.

"Young Master Pei, please ask your friend to show mercy," Lai Jie urgently approached Pei Song, begging.

Pei Song, wary of escalating the situation on Su Family property, intervened. "Mr. Su, please let Basha go."

Su Chen smiled, shook his head, and with a twist of his hand, a bone cracked. He casually tossed Basha's corpse onto the stage.

The crowd gasped. Despite the pleas of Lai Jie and Pei Song, Su Chen had killed Basha. Lai Jie represented Su Can, the Su Family's second young master, and Pei Song was the Pei Family's second young master. This was a public slap in the face to both families.

Pei Song's expression soured. Lai Jie, enraged, gritted his teeth. "Mr. Su, do you know the consequences?"

"What consequences? Aren't the rules of your boxing ring that once on the stage, life and death are at stake?" Su Chen retorted indifferently, tearing a hole in the iron fence and crawling out.

The crowd was awestruck by his strength. Lai Jie, eyes blazing, was speechless; it was their own rule.

Su Chen approached Yunlong, taking the betting slip. "This is my friend's slip. According to the odds, your ring owes us six hundred billion. Please pay immediately."

The crowd was stunned. He'd won, and the five billion bet should indeed yield six hundred billion. Would the Su Family's second young master pay?

"Your ring isn't planning on reneging, is it?" Su Chen asked Lai Jie, smiling.

"Of course not. We operate with integrity," Lai Jie lied, unwilling to admit their reluctance to pay.

"That's best. Please make the payment." Su Chen said calmly.

"Please follow me to the boss's office." Lai Jie, suppressing his anger, conceded.

"Certainly. Lead the way." Su Chen's smile remained.

"Manager Lai, I'll join you," Pei Song said, following to prevent any further mishaps, despite his annoyance.

"Please, Young Master Pei," Lai Jie agreed.

They proceeded to an office on the second basement level, a spacious sixty to seventy square meters.

Upon seeing Pei Song, a young man stood, laughing heartily. "An honor to have Young Master Pei grace us!"

"You are too kind, Young Master Su," Pei Song replied.

"Young Master Pei, I know the situation. Since they're your friends, let's pretend this never happened. I'll return the five billion and add another billion. How does that sound?" Su Can offered; without Pei Song's connection, he wouldn't have offered even the original amount.

"Thank you, that's best. It was a joke anyway," Pei Song agreed; getting six hundred billion from Su Can was impossible.
