Chapter 104
Everyone was shocked to see Atlas and Finnian.
"The haters are coming out again," one person said. "My idol is already very handsome. He doesn't need plastic surgery."
Another person commented, "He just didn't sleep well. Is there a need to make it sound so bad? It's illegal to spread rumors."
Finnian and Atlas's fans immediately defended them, but were ignored.
When Sophia saw Finnian, her smile deepened. She approached him, took his arm, and whispered, "Finnian, long time no—"
The moment Finnian looked at her, his gaze softened. He reached out to touch her hair, saying dotingly, "Sit down first. I'll help you with your luggage."
"Thank you," Sophia smiled, sitting down. She then greeted Odalys, Freya, and Selah, "Hello, we meet again."
Freya rolled her eyes.
Sophia innocently asked Odalys, "I heard you told your fans not to leave yet! Are you worried about traffic?" In reality, she was mocking Odalys. She didn't believe Odalys's fortune-telling abilities. If she were truly gifted, Sophia reasoned, the Bennetts wouldn't have walked all over her. Therefore, Sophia dismissed Odalys completely.
"We should believe in science," Sophia said in a low but sharp voice, ensuring the livestream viewers heard, "Promoting superstition and feudalism is wrong. Causing societal panic has consequences."
Odalys ignored her, her gaze fixed on Finnian. Seeing him help Sophia with her luggage, she frowned.
"What's wrong?" Freya noticed Odalys's expression and quietly asked.
Selah also sensed Odalys's distraction, assuming it was Sophia's words. "Odalys, ignore her. She's stirring up trouble," she comforted.
Odalys remained silent, her gaze shifting from Finnian to Atlas. A trace of doubt flickered in her eyes before she looked away.
"No. I was just thinking," Odalys murmured, subconsciously glancing at Finnian's miserable expression. It was clear to her that he was under a spell.
An audience member asked: [Why does Odalys look like that? Is she trying to seduce Finnian?]
Another commented: [Odalys is so disgusting. Why is she staring at Finnian like that? Is she jealous because Finnian and Sophia were together?]
Someone else retorted: [Are you blind? If she wanted to seduce someone, why not Stellan? Isn't he better than Finnian?]
The fans were speechless, finding Finnian and Sophia's fans illogical.
"Maybe she thinks something's wrong with Finnian. Look at his expression," one person suggested. "It's not good."
Another agreed, "That's right. Doesn't Odalys read fortunes? Maybe there's a problem with Finnian."
The fans continued to question Odalys.
One commented: [Didn't she say not to leave the airport before eight? It's eight o'clock, and nothing's happened. She's a liar.]
Another added: [Did you hear? Airport staff are on high alert, expecting something to happen. They even sent patrols. Seems like a mistake.]
Sophia stood up, deliberately glancing at the livestream comments. Seeing them, she turned to Odalys.
"By the way, Odalys," Sophia said, "you told your fans to leave before eight o'clock. Do you think something will happen? It's 8:02, and nothing has. Are you deliberately scaring them?"
"It's fine if you don't want them to leave," Sophia continued, "but scaring them on purpose isn't right, is it?"
As expected, many livestream viewers were swayed by her, immediately denouncing Odalys.
Seeing Sophia's smug look, Odalys chuckled, a smile in her eyes as she stared at Sophia and said coldly, "This is the so-called 'whore!'"
"You—" Sophia's smile froze. She was unprepared for Odalys's direct rebuke, her body trembling with anger.
A loud bang echoed, shaking the terminal. The explosion was deafening, and everyone's expressions changed instantly.
"What's going on!" Freya exclaimed, standing up.
Selah immediately said, "It felt like an explosion."
Stellan also stood, his expression darkening as he checked his phone. "I just saw a livestream. An oil truck collided with another truck near the airport, falling off the viaduct," he said quietly. "Fortunately, traffic police cleared the road just now. The road to the airport seems to be blocked, so there are no cars or pedestrians under the bridge."
The livestream fell silent. The previous scolding ceased.
Everyone was shocked, including Odalys's fans. They were still at the restaurant, some even livestreaming.
After eight o'clock, disappointed that nothing happened, they were about to leave when stopped by security guards.
"The airport road has been closed for half an hour. No one can enter or leave," the security guard announced over a loudspeaker.
Hearing the explosion, everyone ran out in shock. All airport doors were locked, police already on the scene, preventing anyone from leaving or approaching. From afar, through the glass doors, the outside appeared to be on fire.
"Oh my God, there was an explosion!" someone exclaimed.
"Odalys is amazing!" another said.
"If we'd left, we'd be crushed under the viaduct!" someone else shouted.
"I just asked her to read our fortunes. She saved our lives!" another person cried out.
The fans broke down, realizing they had narrowly escaped death.
"Why did the police close the road?" the fans wondered.
A police officer, seeing the livestream, explained, "Our staff heard Ms. Stone say not to go out at eight. We sealed the road just in case."
"Other than the trucks, there were no other casualties," the police officer added.
The fans were stunned. They turned to the camera, exclaiming, "Did you hear that? Odalys saved many lives with her prediction!"
