Chapter 105

It was rush hour at the airport that morning, with heavy traffic. The airport's road closure enraged many drivers, some of whom called to complain, and others even contacted the police.

However, the moment they witnessed the explosion, everyone fell silent. The entire airport, teeming with people, came to a standstill, as if stunned by the blast. The explosion was deafening in the departure lounge. Sophia's expression changed dramatically. She felt a sense of dread, as if Odalys's prophecy had come true. Yet, she couldn't accept that Odalys had been vindicated.

Sophia had made elaborate preparations. As long as nothing happened after eight o'clock, she could smear Odalys. But reality proved her wrong.

"Ms. Stone!" A man in a suit, with slicked-back hair, ran toward Odalys, followed by a group of people. He scanned the crowd, approached Odalys, and shook her hand vigorously, nearly overwhelmed with emotion.

"Thank you!" he exclaimed. "Because you warned your fans this morning not to leave early, I decided to close the road outside the airport. I never expected an accident to actually happen. Thankfully, the road was blocked, preventing casualties. The fuel tanker driver jumped out before the explosion; he only suffered minor injuries from the fall." He took a step back, panting, and saluted her.

"What?" Odalys was astonished. She had only warned her fans; she hadn't anticipated alerting airport officials. She hadn't tried to prevent the accident; everyone's fate was predetermined, and she couldn't save everyone. If not for a fan asking for a fortune reading, she wouldn't have known about the accident. Accidents happen, but heeding advice can alter outcomes.

"I'm also a fan," the man said. "I saw you predict the weather on that variety show. Coincidentally, that fan who warned me was my nephew! Thank you for saving my life—I might have lost my job otherwise." The people behind him bowed.

"There's no need to thank me. I didn't do much," Odalys said, waving her hand. The leader looked at her with admiration. Noticing the live-streaming cameraman, he looked embarrassedly at the camera. "I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time. But since we're live, I want to tell everyone online that I'm a fan of Odalys. Anyone who defames her will be dealing with me." He then had someone deliver fruit and snacks to the production team. Concerned about delaying their work, he left reluctantly.

Many people, knowing Odalys and her entourage were boarding nearby, came to see her. Some even asked for fortune readings, but security guards stopped them.

"Odalys, can you read my fortune? I'll pay you whatever you want," one person asked.

Another said, "Odalys, you saved my life! Thank you for breakfast this morning. My mother loves you so..."

The group of fans who had received breakfast from Odalys rushed over to thank her.

"Looks like Odalys's fans are very enthusiastic," Sophia said, her smile faltering. She hadn't expected Odalys's popularity to skyrocket before the variety show even began.

"Enough," Ailas said, pulling Sophia away. It was best to remain silent.

Chapter 105 (Continued)

"Atlas, don't you see something's wrong? I suspect Odalys planned this accident. Otherwise, how could there be no casualties after the explosion? And how could the airport head just happen to be her fan? He's probably a paid actor," Sophia whispered.

Atlas was silent. If Odalys had orchestrated this, she'd face imprisonment. No matter how influential she was, he doubted she could cover up something this large.

"We'll see," Atlas murmured, clearly reluctant to implicate Odalys.

Sophia, irritated, sat back, put on her sunglasses, and turned away, but she still heard the shouts of Odalys's fans outside. Many were middle-aged women seeking fortune readings, some from wealthy families.

"She must have done it on purpose. She's fishing," Sophia said coldly.

Meanwhile, Finnian felt a terrible headache, as if an invisible hand controlled his thoughts, forcing him to think of Sophia. He coughed repeatedly, feeling weak. Sophia's face made his scalp tingle.

"Please disperse. Don't delay other passengers. I promise that after the variety show, I'll offer free fortune readings to three people daily," Odalys said, standing at the waiting room door.

Her fans looked at her with awe. They had received breakfast and witnessed a miracle; she seemed almost divine.

"Alright, let's not block the way. We can watch the live stream later," a fan said, and the others dispersed.

Someone asked, "How will we know when you're available?"

"That's right. You don't have social media," others echoed.

News of Odalys's morning prophecy spread throughout the airport. The police, alerted by the explosion, investigated, discovered it was an accident, and began to take notice of Odalys.

"I'm starting a magic entertainment company and will offer daily readings there. I'll advertise it now. Just come to my company," Odalys announced.

Silence fell.

"Where's the company?" someone asked.

"Ms. Stone, can I get pregnant this year?" another asked.
