Chapter 123
Caspian was taking a few steps when he saw a tall man standing at the end of the hospital corridor. The man wore a well-tailored suit, looking both luxurious and imposing.
"Who's that?" Caspian was stunned. The corridor was empty except for the nurses who had just finished their rounds.
He panicked and felt a subconscious urge to retreat. However, the tall figure began walking toward him, his leather shoes making heavy footsteps on the floor. Caspian's usual arrogant demeanor paled in comparison.
"Who are you?" Caspian shouted.
The man raised his wrist, casually rubbing it, before looking deeply at Caspian. "I heard you were the one who spread rumors online recently, saying Odalys had an older man as a sugar daddy who helped her get on a variety show. Is that true?" The man's voice was low and hoarse.
It was a simple question, but it left Caspian breathless. His face was ashen, but he managed to stammer out, "Odalys is my sister. What's wrong with me joking with netizens? Who do you think you are to interfere in my business? Do you know I'm from the Bennett family! You'd better stay out of the Bennett family's business, or else..."
His arrogance faltered; uneasiness betrayed him. He noticed someone approaching from behind.
"Since that's the case, I can only fulfill your wish, Mr. Bennett," the man said, his voice magnetic.
As soon as he finished speaking, Caspian turned to run, but another figure emerged, kicking him hard. Caspian fell, feeling sharp pain in his chest and spitting out blood. He lifted his head, spitting out more blood, the metallic taste filling his mouth. Panic set in.
"Don't come over! This is a hospital. If you come near me again, I'll call the police," Caspian muttered. The man was already approaching. Before Caspian could stand, the man stepped on his hand.
"Ouch!" Caspian screamed, hearing the sickening crunch of his fingers being crushed. He struggled, panting in pain as the man increased the pressure.
"Oh, no, let go of me! My hand, my fingers are broken!" Caspian roared in fear.
The man ignored him, standing calmly, looking down at Caspian like a king surveying an ant.
"Post a video clarifying Odalys's situation," the man—Percival—said, his voice hoarse.
Caspian struggled, enduring the pain. "If I don't clarify, what can you do? Kill me?"
"Do you know who Odalys is? She's like a dog to the Bennett family. Did she hire you to mess with me? Let me tell you, she's so poor she doesn't even have a scent!"
Chapter 129
Before Caspian could finish, Percival suddenly exerted even more force, snapping his remaining fingers. Caspian widened his eyes in disbelief. Percival then kicked him hard. Caspian flew back like a broken kite, slamming into the wall and spitting out more blood.
"‘Odalys is like a dog of the Bennett family?’” Percival's voice was hoarse. He raised an eyebrow, the gesture threatening.
Caspian panicked, realizing this man was more than just a hired thug. "Callum," Percival called out in his hoarse voice.
A man behind him stepped forward respectfully. "Yes."
"Since Mr. Bennett likes dogs, go and bring the wildest dog from home," Percival said hoarsely.
Caspian's face turned ashen. Confusion flickered in his eyes. He couldn't understand, but a moment later, comprehension dawned. He saw Callum approaching with a large dog. Caspian tried to run but couldn't escape.
The dog's barks echoed. The dog pounced, biting Caspian's neck, tearing his clothes. It bit him relentlessly, focusing on areas of flesh.
"Ouch! It hurts! No!" Caspian screamed, trying to fend it off. The dog bit his leg and calf, blood flowing freely. His body was drenched in blood. Fear filled his eyes.
"Okay, I'll clarify it," Caspian mumbled, falling into a pool of blood.
Orson took a phone and wiped Caspian's face with a rag that had been torn from his clothes. He handed the phone to Caspian, activating a live stream on an account with tens of millions of followers.
"Speak," Orson said quietly.
Before Caspian could speak, the dog barked, terrifying him. He quickly faced the camera. "Hello, everyone. I'm Caspian." Callum stepped on his injured foot just as he was about to do something bad.
Caspian, gritting his teeth, whispered, "Tonight, I want to clarify something... Starting yesterday, there have been rumors that Odalys has an older man as a sugar daddy. It's because I deliberately defamed her. I paid ghostwriters to slander and destroy her. Now I know my mistake, and I'll post my evidence online later. Please forgive me. I want to tell Odalys I'm sorry, I was wrong."
Chapter 133
Caspian's voice trembled. After he finished, the live stream viewers were shocked. The video quickly went viral. Callum took Caspian's phone, posting the chat logs showing Caspian hiring people to defame Odalys. He then froze Caspian's account, preventing access or deletion for a week. He then threw the phone at Caspian.
Caspian grunted in pain. He looked at Percival, who stood behind Orson and Callum. Percival's indifferent glance was enough to suffocate Caspian.
