Chapter 124

Caspian couldn't help but think, "Who is that person? I can't believe he came to avenge Odalys." More importantly, the hospital corridor was empty. I was injured and screaming, but no one came. He must have cleared the area. Ordinary people can't do that. So, who is this person? What kind of powerful background does he have?"

"Next time you dare to harass or bully Odalys, you'll die," Percival said in a deep voice. He turned and strode away.

Orson turned and kicked Caspian again. Then, he addressed the ward next door, "Did you hear that! Do it again, and I'll kill you!"

They came in a hurry and left in a hurry. Caspian lay in a pool of blood, his body wracked with pain; not a single part was unscathed. He painfully got up, intending to knock on Hannah's ward door, but found it slightly ajar.

"Caspian, Caspian," Hannah whispered from her hospital bed. She had heard everything. Orson and the others had been standing outside her ward—clearly intentional. It seemed like a warning for Caspian, but actually for Hannah to see.

"Someone! Doctor, doctor!" Hannah panicked, frightened by the sight of the blood-covered Caspian. She frantically pressed the bedside bell. Soon, a doctor and nurse rushed over, shocked by Caspian's condition.

"I heard someone fell and injured themselves. Was it you?" The doctor asked, helping him up. The nurse moved Caspian to a nearby bed. After examining him, the doctor stated, "The fingers on his left hand are broken. His neck, arms, chest, waist, thighs, and calves are all injured. There are probably three hundred wounds all over his body." He shook his head. "Did you hurt yourself?"

Caspian was so enraged he almost vomited blood, but he dared not say a word, let alone call the police. Given Percival's earlier display, even if he had dared, he would have been dead before the police arrived.

"Please help me get a rabies vaccine, thank you," Caspian gritted his teeth.

A knowing look crossed the doctor's face. "A dog? Sir, I advise you not to be so reckless. A dog is inferior to a human. If you get sick…"

The nurse shared a gossiping expression. Caspian remained silent. Hannah, stunned, looked at her blood-soaked son and sobbed quietly, too afraid to speak. The scene had been terrifying.

"The Stewart family? No way. Odalys is just a… a woman. How could the Stewart family defend her?" Hannah muttered softly.

Caspian fainted from the pain, a single thought echoing in his mind: Stay away from Odalys. No matter what.

Downstairs at the hospital, Percival walked out heavily, followed by Orson.

"I didn't expect you to seek justice for Odalys personally," a smile played on Orson's charming face. He wiped his bloodied hands with a handkerchief and said softly, "I didn't realize you'd personally resolve such a small matter."

Percival stopped, his black eyes narrowing as he looked intently at Orson.

"What happened to the Bennetts has nothing to do with me. However, the Bennetts have been viciously slandering Odalys, now a member of the Stewart family. I won't let the Lark family discipline the Stewarts, but since the Bennetts are so reckless, I might as well teach them a lesson. Although I don't hit women, I can use her son to warn her. If Hannah still dares to bully Odalys, I will make every son of hers pay a heavy price," Percival said coldly. He disdained interacting with such bullying wealthy families and felt the Bennetts unworthy.

"No wonder you deliberately beat up Caspian outside Hannah's ward, even slightly opening the door. You wanted her to hear. Because her legs are broken, she couldn't get out of bed," Orson mused. "I wondered why you chose the hospital corridor. You were putting on a show for someone, to make them anxious, right?"

"The Bennett brothers did it. Why warn Hannah when dealing with Caspian?" Orson's eyes flashed with confusion; he couldn't follow Percival's reasoning.

"The Bennett brothers treated Odalys that way because Hannah incited them. If she hadn't doted on Odalys or been so biased, would those Bennetts have dared to be so arrogant? It seems like the Bennett brothers acted, but Hannah fueled the fire behind the scenes. To get what they want, they have no bottom line."

"My actions today give the Bennetts one last chance. If they don't stop, the Bennett Group will cease to exist," Percival said coldly. He wasn't particularly capable, but he was fiercely protective. Anyone who messed with his people would pay with their lives.

"You're right. Without her instructions, how would her sons dare be so impudent?" Orson nodded repeatedly. "But Odalys is amazing. She only gave me a few pointers…" He rubbed his wrist, recalling that day. "But she solved a problem that's plagued the Lark family for a long time. Percival, when Odalys returns from filming, can you bring her to the Lark family? My grandfather and mother want to see her!"

Percival glanced at Orson indifferently. "Whether she goes or not is up to her. No one can force her," he said coldly before striding away. Orson's companion followed, murmuring, "Mr. Lark, your kicks were ruthless."

Orson coughed awkwardly. He'd kicked Caspian partly out of personal grudge. Who asked Caspian to smear Odalys? She was now like a god to the Larks. Messing with her was akin to defying them—though he couldn't make it too obvious. Those kicks were quite lenient.

Orson received a call from the doctor. After a while, he said, "If he wants a rabies vaccine, give it to him. Charge him extra. Also, get nurses to change Hannah's dressing and mention that someone spread rumors, was killed in the wilderness, and abused their daughter, suffering retribution and family destruction. Add embellishments; mention it daily during ward rounds and dressing changes." If he couldn't inflict physical harm, he'd do it mentally. He believed the Bennetts would restrain themselves after what happened to Caspian.

"Got it," the doctor replied.

Orson quickly caught up and got into the Maybach. "Take me back. I didn't drive."

Percival gave him a deep, speechless look.
