Chapter 301

"It seems only the Stewart family can…" the assistant said, subconsciously glancing at Henry.

Henry lowered his eyes and took a large gulp of strong alcohol. He slammed his glass on the table with a heavy thud, shattering it.

The assistant recoiled, only to see Henry abruptly stand. "The Stewart family," he rasped, "do they think I fear them?"

"Mr. Bennett," the assistant stammered, startled by his words. The Stewart family's boundless power held sway over everyone's lives. Now, the Bennett Group was being suppressed to the point of no return, yet Henry dared to act so arrogantly. The assistant was frightened but dared not comment.

"Even under the Stewart family's suppression, the Bennett Group has survived this long," Henry said sarcastically. "What more can they do to me? Besides, if they were truly capable, the Bennett Group would have been destroyed long ago." He acted as if the Stewart family meant nothing to him.

Seeing this, the assistant shrank back, paying for his drinks before hurrying away.

Odalys rested her chin in her hand, a faint smile playing on her lips as she watched Percival. "You've been suppressing the Bennett Group," she murmured, "but you haven't pushed them to desperation. Do you know Henry's secret?" She raised an eyebrow. Though uninterested in gossip, she was curious about Percival's actions.

Percival's dark eyes narrowed slightly, his long fingers tightening around his wine glass. He held it a moment before setting it down, then coldly watched Henry leave.

"You noticed it too," Percival said hoarsely.

Odalys slowly rose, turning her head. "With my personality, if he'd caused me trouble, the Stewarts would have destroyed him long ago."

"From the moment I was brought back to the Bennett family, all he's done is try to exploit me."

"The Bennett brothers are arrogant, yet he maintains composure. Anyone would think him capable and calm," Odalys continued. "But his confidence stems from having someone backing him." She scoffed. "One's face is the best indicator. Since my second chance at life, I've seen through everyone." She paused. "Just because I don't speak doesn't mean I don't know."

"So, you brought me here to watch the show?" Percival's voice was low, a hint of indulgence coloring his words.

Odalys turned and strode toward where Henry had gone.

"Don't be ridiculous. Besides, you know it too," Odalys murmured, unconsciously quickening her pace. Despite her composure, she was only twenty, and a flicker of excitement for gossip remained in her heart. Tonight's drama was her doing.

"Odalys," Percival followed, his heavy footsteps echoing. He watched her brisk walk, her sudden left turn. As he lengthened his stride to catch up, she reached back, grabbed his ass, and pulled him toward her. She pulled too hard, yanking him off balance, sending them crashing together.

Before they could recover, they heard faint sounds of pleasure from a car parked nearby.

Chapter 301 (Continued)

"Let go of me," Henry snapped.

The car's dim interior light flickered on, revealing two entangled figures. The woman pinned Henry beneath her. Her hand braced against his chest as his shirt ripped open. Cupping his face, she slapped him hard. "Let go of me? Did I not give you enough? You think the Stewart family are pushovers? Or that I have no one to rely on now that Percival and I are through!"

"Percival's dead. All that's left of the Stewart Group is Evander. Won't the Stewart family eventually be mine?" Ellie's voice came from inside the car.

Henry stopped resisting. The car rocked violently. Odalys stood under a tree, watching sideways.

Percival's lips were tightly pursed, his large hands clenched into fists. His dark eyes were fixed on the car, a flicker of pain in them.

"You've been investigating this whole time, but you've never gotten to the bottom of it," Odalys said. "You must have found out she was cheating on you, right? That's why you wanted to use the pressure on the Bennett Group as an excuse to expose them. You gave her a choice, but she wanted to destroy the Stewart Group and take it for herself. Perhaps you always suspected the Bennett family knew your situation, and it was your uncle's doing, but your uncle has little to do with the Bennett family."

"So, after an in-depth investigation, you learned your mother and Harmah used to be best friends, but they broke off contact after Ellie married into the Stewart family," Odalys said, arms crossed, her head tilted, a smile playing on her lips. But the smile was insincere, as if she'd already seen through Percival.

"Yes," Percival's voice was low and hoarse. "If my mother had been honest and hadn't hurt anyone, it would have been fine, but she dared to attack Evander." He paused. "Then I felt it wasn't wrong to attack her."

"Although she had no direct contact with the Bennett Group, they did know my situation immediately. At that time, I suspected it might not be the servants of the Stewart Villa, but the person closest to me. My grandfather wouldn't harm me, so there's only one possibility—her."

He hadn't expected Ellie to be sponsoring Henry. This explained Henry's apparent enlightenment after taking over the Bennett Group.

"It's true I stood up for you, but it's also true I used that as an excuse to suppress the Bennett Group and force Henry to act rashly," Percival admitted frankly. To lead the Stewart Group, he was no pushover. He could grasp information instantly, even the hidden secrets of others. Like a superior, he looked down at these people as if watching clowns.

A woman's cry came from the car—each cry more passionate than the last. The next moment, Odalys picked up a stone and threw it at the car window. With a bang, the bulletproof glass shattered.

The two inside were startled. The wind blew in; they instinctively separated. Henry groaned in pain as Ellie suddenly moved him away. Feeling as if he were about to be crippled, he grabbed his clothes to put them on.

Then he heard footsteps outside. A lighter was thrown in through the window, instantly igniting his clothes.

"Damn it," Henry cursed in fear.
