Chapter 302
Henry quickly pulled up his pants and jumped out of the car. He saw a tall figure standing before him; her small hands were wrapped around her chest, and she looked at him with a smile. Henry's pupils widened, and he blurted out in disbelief, "Odalys!"
Henry never dreamed he would be caught cheating by Odalys. The object of his affair was Edie, Odalys's mother-in-law. Embarrassment welled up in his heart. He had always been self-assured, never imagining he'd be caught red-handed by his own sister.
"What a coincidence, Mr. Bennett," Odalys chuckled self-satisfactorily. Her delicate face suddenly hardened; the smile seemed forced. She dropped the pretense and looked at him. The next second, she kicked him hard.
Henry had no time to react before the blow to his abdomen sent him flying backward into the car with a loud bang. A muffled groan escaped him. His body bounced back before landing on Edie. Both groaned in pain. Before they could get up, they heard a voice outside: "Who called the police and reported prostitution here?"
A figure in a police uniform approached. When the officer saw Odalys's face, he was momentarily stunned. His pupils dilated in disbelief, and he gasped, "Odalys?" Officer Hersey's voice was husky; his fingers, clutching his pen, turned white. His hoarse voice was laced with excitement.
"Officer Hersey, long time no see! I didn't expect to meet you again," Odalys said. Noticing the car door about to close, she quickly stepped forward, forced it open, produced her phone, and handed it to him. "I passed by and saw two people in the car. It was shaking violently, and I even heard monetary transactions; I assumed it was prostitution."
As Odalys spoke, Lee clicked on the video. The car shook violently in the recording; the accompanying dialogue was unbearable. Lee frowned. He handed the phone back and stepped closer. He saw two figures intertwined, their clothes scattered and messy. Lee frowned, noting their constant struggle, yet apparent inability to move.
"Odalys, I'll kill you!" Henry's voice erupted. Odalys's kick had sent him back into the car, where his body landed on Edie, rendering them immobile. Their clothes were askew, as if they were still having sex. His heart sank. He was the dignified owner of the Rennen Group and son of the Bennett family, yet here he was, pressed against a naked woman in front of a police officer. He felt a sinking feeling as he saw the officer's body camera.
Chapter 102
Even the most foolish person would know Odalys's appearance was no coincidence; she had likely sought revenge.
"Mr. Bennett?" The police officer frowned, his frown deepening at the sight of several hundred dollars scattered on the ground. While men from wealthy families often indulged, the money scattered in the car hinted at a transaction.
"Get out," Edie's voice trembled. After marrying into the Stewart family, she had been treated with respect; no one dared be so presumptuous. She had initially rejected Henry, but he'd succumbed to her pressure. Once it began, it couldn't be stopped. She never expected to be caught by the police, especially because Odalys had reported it. Seething with rage, Edie gritted her teeth, wishing she could kill Odalys.
"Wait a minute? Why does this voice sound so familiar?" Odalys's expression changed. She moved forward, saw the entangled figures, grabbed Henry, and flung him aside, revealing the woman beneath. Odalys stared at Edie's face and blurted out, "Mrs. Stewart? Aren't you Percival's mother? I heard your son is dead, but you wouldn't stoop this low to make a living, would you? You're almost fifty, and you and Henry…" Odalys covered her mouth in disbelief, bursting into laughter. She had intentionally exposed Edie to the police, venting her anger.
"Odalys, did you set me up?" Edie gritted her teeth. That afternoon, she'd cursed Odalys outside the Stewart Villa, but it had no effect. Even she noticed something was amiss.
"What do you mean? Are you saying I made you and Henry do this? Or that I made you take off your clothes?" Odalys asked with a puzzled look. She turned to Lee, saying with displeasure, "Officer Hersey, I saw someone engaging in prostitution. Was I wrong to call the police?"
Lee was silent, studying them with a serious expression. Even he sensed something was amiss, but as an officer, he couldn't openly interfere.
"Put your clothes on," Lee said.
They tried to explain their immobility, but the next second, their hands regained freedom. They stared at each other in shock. Their bodies had been stiff, preventing them from even dressing themselves.
"Odalys," Edie said, regaining her composure after dressing. She stood tall, looking down at Odalys. "You deliberately made a false police report to frame me. Do you think that just because my son is dead, you can do whatever you want!"
"No! I didn't make a false police report!" Odalys smirked.
Edie felt a chill. She had a bad feeling.

The next second, her mouth seemed to move on its own. She blurted out, "I put a curse on you, so you want to harm me? Even if I was a prostitute, who are you to judge me? Even if I really sold my body, what can you do to me?"
Henry's face turned grim. He lunged forward, intending to cover Edie's mouth, but found his body unresponsive. He swung his hand and punched Edie hard in the face. Edie grunted, stumbling backward against the car.
Henry stood there, saying coldly, "Damn it, you can't even kill her with a curse. You useless old woman. I've slept with you, and you can't even solve this little problem! You're just an old widow who wants to use me?"
