Chapter 319

Odalys felt refreshed after washing up and walked over to the wardrobe. She glanced at the clothes, chose a pair of high-waisted jeans and a black, tight T-shirt, and casually tied her hair into a loose ponytail. Already tall and slender, this figure-flattering outfit enhanced her youthful aura.

Percival wore slacks and a black shirt—a simple outfit that inexplicably matched hers. From afar, they looked like they were wearing matching outfits, but, unfortunately, she didn't notice.

"I'll handle this," Percival said in a deep voice. "Clarence will meet you. Don't feel burdened! If you don't have time, just say hello to him, and I'll take care of the rest." He didn't want her bound by rules and regulations.

"I know. I have to go to the company later," Odalys said, lowering her head to pack up her phone, which was charging. It was only 7:20 a.m.

Chatting, the two walked downstairs. Evander and the others were sitting on the sofa, discussing recent events. Hearing footsteps, they looked up.

"Odalys is here. Dorian, serve breakfast," Evander called to the kitchen.

Dorian responded, and the servants brought a sumptuous breakfast. Orson and Clarence, obviously hadn't eaten yet, joined them. The table overflowed with food.

"Come on, Odalys. Have some of this," Clarence immediately offered her food.

Evander, not to be outdone, filled half a bowl of oatmeal for her, saying, "Odalys, have some oatmeal to warm your stomach."

"I'll have some bacon," Percival said in a deep voice.

The three men took turns serving her. Orson and Callum exchanged silent glances.

"Thank you," Odalys said, speechless. Looking at the full plate, she had mixed feelings. In the past, with the Bennett family, she hadn't received this kind of treatment. These affections seemed to stem from the dramatic change after her time travel.

Before Percival knew her true capabilities, he treated her with the respect she deserved. Even the Stewart family's servants wouldn't dare slight her.

"What's up?" Clarence urged, his eyes glowing with admiration.

Evander observed, his eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. He was secretly relieved he'd agreed to let the income go. If they hadn't met, it would have just been him, Percival, and Odalys at the dinner table today.

"Odalys, in your opinion, is traditional medicine practice…" Clarence quickly changed the subject. He was referring to the medical techniques she'd taught Orson, which had saved a life.

Odalys answered calmly and patiently, answering all his questions. She even brought up other medical topics. Clarence listened attentively, showing no airs despite being older.

As he listened, Clarence felt his own medical skills paled in comparison. He exclaimed, "Excellent! Traditional medicine has a bright future! The knowledge passed down by our ancestors must not be lost. I feared we were finished. Now, I'm very pleased."

Clarence turned to Orson: "Orson, from now on, the Lark family's doors will always be open to her. For any future problems, as long as Odalys asks for help, the Lark family will do everything in our power." He added, "I understand that no one in the world knows traditional medicine better than her. It's a pity that I am old and lack energy, but I'd love to learn from her."

Clarence's words shocked Evander. Clarence was always reserved and rarely praised others, yet he humbled himself before Odalys. It was conceivable that Odalys's medical skills were unfathomable. Medical skill had nothing to do with age; sometimes, talent was the ultimate difference.

After breakfast, Clarence reluctantly watched Odalys leave. Watching her drive away, he rubbed his fists, saying, "The Stewart family is so lucky to have her. This girl's ability is definitely better than…"

"The Bennett family were blind to abandon such a capable girl. If they hadn't abandoned her and welcomed her home without prejudice, perhaps the Bennett Group would have surpassed the Lark family by now," he finished.

Evander smiled silently, secretly overjoyed. Odalys was his granddaughter-in-law, the girl he had carefully chosen, and seeing her praised made him feel the whole family basked in her glory.

"Grandpa," Percival said, hands clasped behind his back. After a long silence, he repeated what Odalys had said in the room.

"Oliver," Evander's face instantly darkened. He hadn't expected Oliver to have designs on the Stewart family. "Have Dorian string that man along, and have him leak some information we want the other party to know."

"Oliver, Callum has been investigating these past few days, but he hasn't found any private contact between Edie and…" A flicker of surprise crossed his stern face.

"They came prepared," Orson said quickly. "Is Edie still in the hospital?" Evander asked.

"She's still in the hospital. I've had people put her under house arrest. She won't be able to contact anyone," Orson replied. "There's something you may want to know." Orson handed a secret document. As the contents were revealed, everyone gasped, wide-eyed with bewilderment. His son had passed away many years ago, and his widow and daughter-in-law had been exposed for cheating last night. Now, she was found to be… Lander felt the Stewart Villa had been deeply shamed by this news.
