Chapter 391

Seeing Rafael's repulsive face, Freya was devastated. The memory of him lurking in her room back in the village, nearly assaulting her, weighed heavily on her mind. She had never been able to forget it. Seeing him again made her blood boil.

"This is for trying to assault me, for being a lecherous old man, and for repeatedly preying on women," Freya gritted her teeth.

Selah was equally furious. Rafael's face was nightmarish to her. Selah and Freya, usually gentle and composed, transformed as they beat him. They struck him with sticks, punched and kicked him, and finally, Freya delivered a powerful kick to his groin.

"That hurts! Good heavens! Are you two trying to kill me?" Rafael cried miserably, covering himself and backing away.

Francis and Stellan stood vigilantly, their grips on their sticks firm, ready to strike him down if he dared to attack again.

Covered in blood, Rafael shuffled pathetically. Selah landed another kick, saying, "Was that you pretending to be a ghost outside? Damn it, do you think this is still your village?! Did you try that trick on Sophia? No matter how much I dislike her, you shouldn't have assaulted her!"

Beaten black and blue, Rafael Nielsen could only shield his body and face. They didn't stop until Odalys intervened.

"Odalys, I think this is the guy who did everything," Freya fumed, rushing forward to complain, despite being roughly Odalys's age, addressing her as if she were a superior.

"I warned you last night outside the Bennett Villa. I spared your life back in the village," Odalys said coldly.

Rafael trembled with fear. Ignoring the pain, he hastily knelt before Odalys, apologizing, "Ms. Stone, I didn't do it intentionally. If I'd known it was you, I wouldn't have dared. I didn't mean to target you." His voice trembled. He kept seeing the image of Brandon's son from the previous night—completely obliterated, melted on the spot. He couldn't imagine the consequences of Odalys's wrath.

Odalys said coldly, "You plotted against us in the village. I spared you then, and I let you live last night. I can't believe you're still acting up today. It seems you're addicted to acting with impunity."

Rafael felt a surge of killing intent and a strange fear. He shuddered, crawled forward, and pleaded, "I was wrong! Please spare me!"

Odalys looked down at him. "Do you know why I brought you back to Crownridge?" she asked coldly.

Rafael was startled and bewildered.

"Do you know why you were imprisoned for so long, only to be released last night?" Odalys continued.

Rafael stiffened, feeling a premonition of doom. Odalys sneered.

"I knew you had ulterior motives. You were watching Brandon, and everyone in the village. You targeted Sophia, and you were watching us. You even tried to monitor my movements after learning I'd been in contact with Brandon several times. I know you were monitoring that village. That's why I had you brought back to Crownridge. You saw what happened to Brandon's son last night; you should know the consequences of offending me. And last night, I gave you a chance."

When Rafael heard this, he knew he was in trouble. Ignoring the pain, he scrambled to his feet and tried to leave, but his body froze.

"My leg!" Rafael exclaimed in shock as a sharp pain shot through his leg. He watched his leg bone shrink and snap in two. He cried out in agony as he crumpled to the ground, staring in disbelief at his detached leg, still standing upright. He reached for his pant leg, finding only empty fabric. Then, a bolt of lightning struck the detached leg with a loud boom, instantly reducing it to paste that splattered across his face.

Rafael's mouth gaped open. "No, my leg!" he screamed, like a madman. He lunged forward, but felt only flesh and blood. It was then that true terror gripped him. He looked at Odalys; her cold, icy gaze was fixed on him. He had never felt such terror. He realized Odalys was more terrifying than any demon.

"St-stay away from me?" Rafael stammered, terrified. He raised his hands defensively, dragging his remaining leg as he backed away. He couldn't believe his leg had been so easily destroyed. He'd only seen such things on TV, never expecting Odalys to possess such power. He regretted his actions, wishing he had never come.

Odalys sneered. "Does it hurt? It should. There's more pain to come. Don't worry, I'll let you suffer slowly. You hurt beautiful women; I will make you feel the same pain."

Chapter 391 (Continued)

"I will make your life worse than death, as many times as the number of lives you've taken. I am the most righteous person, and I value fairness above all else."

Each word sent shivers down Rafael's spine. He had never been so utterly defeated by a woman. Meeting Odalys, he realized his profound misfortune. He even regretted not killing her in the village.
