Chapter 392

Rafael trembled with fear, pleading with Odalys. "No! I've never raped or killed anyone. Did someone slander me to you? Except for being a bit lecherous, I've never done anything truly bad. If you let me go, I promise to give you all my money and my house—everything!"

Odalys observed his terrified demeanor, her sneer barely concealed.

"Do you think you deserve leniency?" Odalys roared angrily.

Rafael was stunned by her outburst. She exuded a powerful aura that made it difficult for him to breathe. He couldn't understand why such a young woman possessed such an intimidating presence. He swallowed nervously.

Odalys said coldly, "From the moment you raped that young girl, you sealed your fate. Now you dare to attack us in the middle of the night? You intended to use those same tricks against Freya, didn't you?"

Freya was shocked to hear her name. She hadn't expected this. Her eyelids fluttered, and she asked incredulously, "Odalys, are you saying he targeted me?"

Odalys responded, "Who else? He tried to assault you in the village last time, but failed. Last night, after escaping Percival, he appeared here. What other explanation is there?"

Selah was frightened. "Why Freya? She barely knows him; they're from different worlds. What does he want?" Selah was bewildered.

Stellan echoed her sentiment. "If he were after Sophia, it would make sense. After all, Sophia has wronged him repeatedly, but Freya has had no interaction with him," Stellan frowned.

Francis shook his head. "There was a thunderstorm earlier, and monsters were running rampant. Ordinary people couldn't orchestrate this, yet he was hiding in a tree, spying. If it weren't for Odalys, we wouldn't have suspected anyone was there, let alone guessed it was aimed at Freya. This man is clearly not simple. He can monitor the entire village, meaning he has accomplices."

His logic was sound. He remained rational, unlike the others. Odalys glanced at him appreciatively.

She continued, "Francis is right. He created those monsters! He used them and the previous ghost incidents in Film Capital to terrorize you, to instill fear, and then attack Freya. Then, everyone might assume she hallucinated due to fear, and wouldn't suspect foul play."

Rafael looked up, staring at her in shock.

"That's why I sensed danger from you. It's because of your good luck," Odalys stated. This good luck was connected to the spirit on her ring. Otherwise, she wouldn't have arrived so quickly.

Freya touched the mark on her wrist, feeling uneasy. She hadn't expected Rafael to still be targeting her. She'd put the previous incident behind her, never imagining a sequel.

"Why are you targeting me?" Freya asked, her beautiful face drained of color. Even obsessive fans wouldn't have such a depraved motive.

"Don't forget what happened to your house," Odalys reminded her.

Freya's pupils constricted before widening in disbelief. She looked at Odalys, then Rafael, whispering, "He's working for Edie?"

At the mention of Edie, Rafael froze. Further explanation was unnecessary. Freya couldn't believe Rafael was connected to Edie, who had schemed to get Freya out of Stewart Villa, exploiting her desire for a new place by tricking her into buying a haunted house. Then, when Freya entered the entertainment industry, Edie set her up again, even attempting to have Rafael assault Freya while she filmed a variety show in the village.

"How much did Edie pay you?!" Freya fumed, stepping forward. Ignoring his broken leg, she kicked him squarely on his injured leg. Rafael groaned, blood gushing from the wound. He clutched his leg, the pain nearly incapacitating him.

"Why are you trying to set me up?" Freya shouted through gritted teeth.

Rafael, fighting through the pain, stood up. "I don't know what you're talking about. Who is Edie? I don't know her."

Just as he finished, Odalys grabbed Freya.

"Odalys," Freya cried, tears welling from anger. The rage building inside her was suffocating.

"I give you one more chance, your last," Odalys said coldly.

Rafael showed no remorse. "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't even know Edie" As he spoke, he felt a strange sensation.

Rafael's face contorted in pain. He looked down at his pants, feeling something burrow into his leg. He tried to grab it, but it was too quick, striking him.

Rafael screamed, feeling a sharp pain. He felt a sharp pain (repeated word removed). Before he could react, he felt something being ripped away, blood staining his pants.

He clutched and ripped open his pants, revealing a snake coiled inside, its mouth bloody, clutching a piece of flesh.

"No," Rafael stared at his mutilated body. The snake had castrated him.

Before he could react, the snake shot out, dropping the flesh with a thud. Everyone watched, wide-eyed, as the snake flicked its tail, sending the flesh flying onto Rafael's face.

Blood and flesh covered his face, the stench filling his nostrils. His lips moved as the flesh fell into his mouth. Rafael felt a lump in his throat, his mind going blank. Images flashed—he'd never imagined being castrated by a snake.
