Chapter 523

He wondered who could have destroyed his magic zone.

“Could it be Odalys? That’s impossible. How could a little girl like her have so much energy?” Oliver muttered.

As he finished speaking, he vaguely heard a car approaching outside.

Edie turned and went outside. Seeing the license plate “S—,” she clenched her fists and stared. This was a Stewart family vehicle.

“Percival!” Edie was furious.

She remembered her humiliation at the studio that day; not only Percival, but Odalys had also disregarded her. They had forced her homelessness, leaving her to shamefully return to the Bennett Villa, only to be met with Henry's disdain. Her situation was dire.

Fortunately, she and Hannah had reached an agreement, targeting Evander. Therefore, Henry was not an option. She had never liked him.

Thinking this, Edie went upstairs, avoiding Percival. She recalled the evening's events, including Oliver's failed magic zone and subsequent backlash. She was certain Odalys was involved.

She couldn't believe a twenty-year-old could be so powerful.

“Odalys! What are you doing here? Begging for forgiveness? You embarrassed us at Magic Entertainment today. Don't think we'll forgive you!” Atlas rushed forward, immediately putting on airs.

However, Odalys's icy gaze made him shiver, his bravado dissolving.

“Forgive? Beg? What gives you the right? Your solution was to trap me in an illusion with Oliver’s magic zone and kill me?” Odalys sneered.

Atlas’s face went pale, his eyes flickering, avoiding her gaze.

“What nonsense? Odalys, you're delusional!” Atlas stood before her, preventing her from entering the chaotic living room. That night, Oliver had indeed set a magic zone to subdue Odalys.

He stood before her, but Francis and Stellan pushed him aside.

“F-Francis!” Atlas panicked at the sight of Francis. He had only just heard Oliver's words and was unnerved. Their plan had been to have Brandon's deceased ancestor's soul possess Francis—a resurrection via body-snatching. But Francis's presence felt ghostly.

“Get lost,” Orson snapped, his temper shorter than the others’.

Seeing Atlas pushed aside, Orson rushed forward, kicking him to the ground. He then ground his foot into Atlas's face.

“Ouch! My face!” Atlas screamed in pain.

Orson stepped over him, entering the house without a second glance. He could have killed Atlas for his rudeness to Odalys.

“Next time you yell at Odalys, I'll cut you open,” Orson threatened, turning back.

Atlas was stunned. The words "cut open" conjured the image of Sophia tearing open his chest, making him shiver.

Odalys entered the living room. The Bennetts' expressions shifted.

“Odalys! What are you doing back here?” Hannah's voice was sharp and haughty. “I severed ties with you. Why return? This is a Bennett family matter. Leave now!”

Hannah noticed Odalys's lack of reaction, her expression darkening. Accustomed to respect, she felt a surge of resentment.

“Are you deaf? Get out! You were chased out before, and now you’re back with reinforcements? You think the Stewarts will tolerate you without the Bennetts? You were a substitute bride! Don't forget who helped you marry into the Stewart family! Return the necklace, and maybe I'll show some respect,” Hannah said coldly.

Odalys raised an eyebrow, amused. “Begging me for the necklace? You think you deserve my master's necklace? Do you think you deserve that honor, after drinking the runes potion and having your bones mended?”

Hannah was startled. Only the Bennetts present knew about the runes potion. Hannah's confidence faltered.

Odalys’s gaze fell on Oliver. She saw blood at the corner of his mouth; he seemed much older.

Oliver’s heart skipped a beat. He started to speak, but felt his face itch. He touched it—and his finger was bitten off.

“Ouch!” Oliver screamed, blood oozing from his mouth and finger. “Impossible! I used the Bennetts’ negative energy to suppress him! How could he…” He panicked.

He had sealed the bite marks on his face with the Bennetts’ negative energy, intending to transform the location into his ideal energy field, especially since the police had sealed his ashram. He needed a new one, and the Bennetts' house was perfect. He'd given Hannah the runes potion to heal her injuries, showcasing his abilities to gain the Bennetts' trust. He and Brandon had tacitly planned this, bringing in Francis. Everything seemed perfectly arranged. He planned to use Francis to trap and kill Odalys, taking her energy. Unexpectedly, he'd been backlashed.

“You know what happened to the last person backlashed? Seventy or eighty years old, more accomplished than you… he died right in front of me,” Odalys said, squatting before Oliver.
