Chapter 524

Oliver's eyes widened, his cheek's teeth marks opening and closing, attempting to bite Odalys. She slapped him with her backhand, instantly closing the marks, which never dared to open towards her again.

"Nang!" Odalys slapped him. The teeth marks remained imprinted on Oliver's face, and the slap stunned him.

"You—you—what did you just say?" Oliver stood up angrily.

Odalys smiled, saying nothing. Oliver's ears rang from the blow. He stood, spitting blood onto the ground. His body ached intensely, especially his index finger, just bitten off by the facial teeth marks. Each finger connected to the heart; the pain was indescribable.

"Odalys, did you just say you killed the master who performed the ritual in the villa?" Oliver shouted.

Odalys ignored him. Seeing this, Oliver grew frantic. Freya appeared, stuffing a large piece of bread into his mouth, silencing him.

Orson leaned back, a cigarette in his mouth. He turned to Percival, who nodded slightly.

"OK," Orson gestured, exiting. Outside the Bennett Villa, he silently climbed to the second floor and effortlessly broke in. Caspian watched Orson leave, quietly following him, only to find him vanished in an instant.

"He just left. Where did he go?" Caspian looked puzzled, searching before fixing his gaze upstairs. He considered approaching the second floor when a hand grabbed his neck from behind, pulling him aside.

"Who is it?" Caspian groaned in pain. The assailant was strong, his grip powerful, nearly breaking Caspian's neck. With a thud, Caspian hit the wall, grunting in pain from his shoulder. He was surprised by Stellan's strength, expecting gentleness from his tall, gentle appearance.

"Stellan, what are you doing?" Caspian asked angrily.

Stellan, instead of answering, produced a cigarette and lighter, offering Caspian a light.

"Your family's been quite lively lately," Stellan said, frowning jokingly. "The Bennett family's bankrupt, and yours is still… a mess." Looking at the people in the living room, he felt a headache coming on. "Let it go!"

"Chaotic. It's too messed up. My family's better—fewer people, fewer problems. Almost nothing to worry about," Stellan thought.

"Are you here to mock me?" Caspian asked grumpily, glancing upstairs, sensing Stellan was covering for Orson. He knew their arrival held an ulterior motive.

Chapter 521

Stellan noticed Caspian's upward glance and replied faintly, "Then tell me what's so funny. Henry married your mother's best friend. Sophia seduced your father. Your mother and father are divorced but live together. Which is more shocking?"

Caspian fell silent, Stellan's words cutting deep. The complicated relationships felt suffocating.

"Do you know why Henry's with Edie?" Stellan pocketed his unsmoked cigarette, intently watching Caspian.

Caspian smoked, blowing smoke rings. His fingertips trembled as he subconsciously glanced at Stellan. The Simpson family's rise stemmed from exploiting resources Edie took from the Stewart family. The Stewarts retaliated that afternoon, freezing Simpson assets.

"The Simpson family's in trouble; even Edie's struggling. Henry's backer collapsed," Stellan whispered conspiratorially. Caspian frowned. "The Simpson family has fallen?"

Disbelieving, he checked his phone, the news filled with Simpson family stories. That afternoon, they were "raided," assets frozen and transferred, projects suspended and taken over by the Stewarts. A hint of joy flashed in Caspian's eyes as he read.

"Although the Bennett family seems bankrupt, as long as their foundation remains, they have a chance. Henry's too ambitious, relying on older women with their own agendas. He's probably just after something he can't have," Stellan continued.

"Why are you telling me this?" Caspian asked warily. Stellan and he were unacquainted, never having met. Stellan was from the entertainment industry; he knew Atlas and Sophia, but not Caspian.

Stellan said, "You've been setting Henry up, hoping he'd take the fall, desperate to escape the Bennett Villa. Honestly, I heard Odalys mention the Bennett family is shrouded in negative energy—haunted by ghosts!"

"How long can those people survive being haunted?" Stellan asked. "And Brandon. Why did he suddenly appear at the Bennett Villa, entangled with your mother? After tonight, the biggest beneficiary of the Bennett family will be Hannah," Stellan patted his shoulder.

Caspian's expression shifted subtly. "Brandon and Oliver know each other. They took care of Hannah, healing her injuries. Even after tonight, she's in the best condition."

"You should consider why she abandoned Odalys for Sophia. Who instructed her? The beneficiary was Sophia. So back then, and tonight, the beneficiaries are these two women," Stellan continued. Caspian's expression darkened. He'd forgotten he was watching Orson, his thoughts consumed by Stellan's revelations.

Stellan continued, "Oliver and Brandon are here for your mother. Consider why she's so close to them. Did they make her leave Odalys? Or someone else? If Hannah hadn't given up on Odalys, or your family hadn't taken in Sophia, the Bennett family would be at its peak, untouchable by even the Simpsons. Someone wanted to destroy the Bennett family, even giving Sophia a Love Spell to use on men. Consider if you've been affected. How could she, unexposed to Love Spells, possess one? Did she draw it? Unlikely. Someone gave it to her."
