Chapter 570

Brandon chuckled softly at Oliver's words.

"It's better if he's dead," he said. "The deeper the resentment, the more unrest the Bennett Villa will be in. The good fortune Odalys left behind will soon be overwhelmed by resentment and wicked energy." Brandon looked around with satisfaction. He could feel the wicked energy intensifying, creating an eerie atmosphere that sent chills down his spine.

Oliver remained silent, his gaze fixed on Sophia. He watched as black, wicked energy continuously seeped from countless tiny holes in her body. A halo had previously surrounded her, but that fortune, which didn't belong to her, was fading, replaced by resentment.

"That Simpson woman has been searching for something in the Bennett Villa," Oliver said, clearing his throat. "It seems her purpose is the same as ours."

Brandon's eyes held a profound meaning. "As people say, it's easier to raise the devil than to lay him," he said. "And that's exactly what we are to the Bennett family. They're stuck with us, and now that we're here, we're not leaving easily."

"It's about time Windsor returned," Oliver said, glancing at his watch.

However, Brandon felt a sense of unease. He looked into the distance, but there was no sign of Windsor.

Suddenly, a thunderclap shook the sky, lightning flashed, and Crownridge was plunged into darkness. Oliver and Brandon watched the scene, their smiles barely contained.

"Here it comes," Oliver said, his laughter growing louder as he watched the sky. "Looks like Windsor's trap worked." Even after the backlash from the magic zone the previous night, he was in a good mood. "As long as I have one breath left, I won't die. And I'll make Odalys pay a hundredfold for what she did last night."

"Once the river breaks through the embankment, the suburbs will be flooded, and Crownridge will be destroyed," Brandon said, his voice filled with exhaustion. "The government will be thrown into chaos, creating an opportunity for us. As long as Crownridge is in chaos, no one will notice what we're doing. By the time the police realize something's amiss, we'll have everything in place." He had been staying at the Bennett Villa recently and was constantly disturbed by them. Furthermore, his ancestor's soul had been shattered by Odalys the previous night, leaving him deeply troubled. Resentment welled up within him.

Oliver said gleefully, "Once the embankment breaks, I'll have people spread the word that Odalys is a jinx. Coupled with her recent actions, it will all backfire on her. We don't even need to lift a finger—people will destroy Magic Entertainment for us." Despite his grave injuries, nothing could stop his gloating. "Magic Entertainment's location is perfect; it's at the heart of Crownridge. As long as Magic Entertainment is there, Crownridge will never—"

"I didn't expect Odalys to be so capable at such a young age," Oliver interrupted. "She built Magic Entertainment in such a strategic location, and now Percival is guarding it around the clock."

They had their eye on Magic Entertainment. Magic practitioners could see its potential, but no one dared to take action. It was considered haunted; the location had a strange aura. Nobody dared to build a church or live there, due to numerous accidents. They were unaware that this location possessed the best energy field. It was precisely because the energy field was so potent that ordinary people couldn't—

Unexpectedly, Odalys managed to control it. And with so many people going there to pray every day, the energy field was growing stronger, almost encompassing the entire Crownridge. That was why Oliver and Brandon devised a plan to gather public anger to destroy Magic Entertainment.

"I'm afraid she has someone backing her up," Oliver said. "Look at the energy above Magic Entertainment. Even if you and I trained together for another hundred years, we wouldn't be able to accomplish that. That energy is so powerful. I tried to get close to it before, and the force almost shattered my insides. If someone is backing her up, then this person's strength cannot be underestimated."

Brandon remained silent, deep in thought, his back hunched.

"Extremes breed reversals," Oliver continued. "Magic Entertainment is now in full swing. Today's plan must be perfect. Otherwise, if Odalys realizes we want to use public opinion to destroy her, she will fight back. I'm afraid we will be the ones who suffer."

"Damn it," Brandon exclaimed, anger rising. "I originally wanted my ancestor to possess Francis's body, lurk beside Odalys, and deliver a fatal blow at a critical moment. However, she saw through it and even shattered my ancestor's soul." Odalys's actions had foiled his long-laid plans, ruined by a young girl.

Oliver and Brandon were indignant, their hatred for Odalys intensifying.

"Be patient," Oliver said. "As long as we are alive, we still have a chance. Once the wicked energy from the Bennett Villa expands, we can use it to destroy Crownridge. Now all that's left is the right time. When everyone believes Odalys is a jinx, their admiration and reverence for her and Magic Entertainment will disappear. After the energy there is reduced, the police will no longer protect her. She will soon be finished." He smiled, then coughed as he turned and saw the crystal ball beside him light up. They both turned to look. The crystal ball glowed with a light that filled the room.

"The magic zone is complete?" Oliver exclaimed, his eyes full of malice and greed. "Windsor has set the trap, and this is blood—human blood. This blood is so pure that it can increase the magic zone. It seems that not only will the riverbank collapse, but everyone in Crownridge might also die tonight."

But Brandon stared at the crystal ball. "It looks like the blood of a Stewart," he said, his voice trembling. "Even if I turn to ashes, I can recognize it. It's the purest blood of the Stewart family." Oliver was also surprised and stared at the crystal ball again.

"It does look like a man's blood," Oliver said, slumping into a chair. "It seems that the seriously injured person isn't Odalys, but Percival, who is by her side. That's even better. Percival's blood has spilled into our trap. When the energy restarts, Odalys will be trapped. If she ends up seriously injured, with her ability, her blood will probably be more effective. With her and Percival's blood, Crownridge will definitely be destroyed."

He fixed his gaze on the crystal ball and heard a boom from outside. They hurriedly checked their mobile phones and saw that news of the river bursting its banks was trending. They stared at the news, almost unable to suppress their smiles.

"It's done," they said almost in unison. "It's done. The entire Crownridge will be ours."
