Chapter 606
In other words, this creature was raised by Oliver. Raising such a creature requires nurturing it with one's own breath, forging an unseen bond of destiny—a highly risky endeavor. Oliver likely undertook this risk as a contingency plan.
"If we can't deal with him, will he come after my wife again?" Zachery panicked, though he felt more at ease since moving. Now that the bite marks reappeared, his nightmare had returned.
"No. Since it attacked today, using Windsor's body, I'll trap it within him. That way, it won't be able to return to Oliver's body, even if it wants to," Odalys explained. "Without Oliver to sustain it, this creature would be like a man lost in the desert, unable to escape."
Zachery quickly bowed. "That's good! Trap it quickly! If I can help, just tell me. I'll do anything."
Odalys asked, "Is there any filming scheduled this afternoon? Francis likely won't be able to film in his condition."
"Not anymore! Everyone's off this afternoon. I'll handle this," Zachery said, immediately grabbing his phone and leaving.
After Zachery left, Freya asked, "Odalys, how did this creature get into Windsor's body?"
Odalys replied, "Windsor set a trap yesterday, intending to harm someone, but it backfired, injuring him. This allowed the creature to return to his body, but unfortunately, he was sent back." Only Odalys understood. She referred to Windsor regaining control, only to be forcibly returned by Brandon, allowing Lockfang to seize the opportunity. Lockfang's escape from Oliver's body proved Oliver's injury was more serious than they'd imagined.
"Don't worry, Francis is fine. However, there's likely a mole on set. Since you're all off this afternoon, find Zachery. Join forces to uncover the mole—likely sent by Edie to watch Francis," Odalys said.
The mention of "Edie" darkened everyone's expressions. The name clung to them like a curse.
"Okay, we'll go now," Stellan said, a man of action. Selah immediately offered assistance, but Freya remained to help Odalys.
"Windsor acted strangely last night. People said he and Sophia were involved, but last night, he almost killed her! You could see it in his eyes—he despised her," Freya observed.
"Windsor's been abroad for three years and is clearly in league with Edie's brother! Now that Edie's married to Henry, the Bennett and Stewart families are completely intertwined. Could Windsor be using the guise of a victim to hurt others and get away with it?" Freya analyzed. She didn't believe in their innocence; those who hurt others didn't deserve forgiveness.
Odalys said, "The real Windsor is trapped. The one controlling his body isn't him—perhaps his shadow, or another soul, like when Brandon's ancestor nearly replaced Francis."

"Windsor should have been controlled three years ago. After regaining control last night, he seemed poised to kill Sophia but stopped. He must know something—Sophia's the key," Francis stated, frowning at the revelation.
"There's no way Sophia could be adopted by the Bennetts, yet Windsor only started suspecting her three years ago," Odalys added.
Francis, usually quiet, noted, "So, the original Windsor might have known what would happen but chose neutrality. By the time the trouble arrived, it was too late to fight back." Odalys nodded.
Freya scratched her head, then tied back her hair. "But why target Francis?" His agent and ex-girlfriend had recently targeted him for his organs; now, it seemed a new group coveted his body. His unusual physique and birth chart, coupled with his orphan status, made him a target.
It was strange that someone like him, lacking family or background, could enter the entertainment industry, become a model, and gain such popularity. Someone must be manipulating events, making him the focal point. The more popular he becomes, the greater the eventual gain. His popularity peaked, making the other party impatient.
"Catching the mole might lead us to the person behind this. Then we can deal with them," Odalys concluded. She'd planned to wait, but it was no longer an option. Ignoring them would cause further complications; Odalys wasn't one to leave things unfinished. With Windsor practically delivered to her, she wouldn't let this chance slip.
"Then what do we do with Windsor? Wake him or tie him up?" Freya gestured to the unconscious Windsor.
Odalys rose, standing condescendingly before him. Henry's words from that morning echoed in her mind. Freya, uneasy, stayed close behind. Odalys smiled faintly, touched by the Stewart family's protectiveness, even Freya's subconscious desire to protect her. Though she knew they couldn't truly protect her, the gesture warmed her heart.
"Don't worry, he can't hurt me," Odalys reassured them. Francis, also nervous, joined them, a fruit knife at the ready along with Freya. Odalys silently bit her fingertip, drawing a talisman in the air before forcefully injecting it into Windsor's body. Windsor groaned.

The talisman's entry caused Windsor to groan, his face draining of color. He opened his eyes wide, staring at the ceiling. "Ah!" A miserable cry escaped him as his body writhed, a battleground of unseen forces. He rolled, then leaped to his feet. Locking eyes with Odalys, he froze in shock.
"No… Get lost! Let me go!" Different voices erupted from his mouth. He slapped himself while clutching his leg. The horrific sight left Freya clinging to Odalys in terror.
"Why's he hitting himself?" Freya's voice trembled.
