Chapter 90

Naomi hadn't finished speaking when Brendan pulled her into his arms and passionately kissed her. He often kissed her to avoid losing arguments. His kiss silenced her.

She forcefully pushed him away, exploding with anger. "Brendan, have you no shame? You showed up late at night, caused a ruckus, and took advantage of me. You're always so entitled! Stay away from me, you filth!"

She vented her frustration, pushing him out the door and throwing his suit jacket after him. "Go find whoever you want. Just don't come and disgust me."

Brendan, equally angry, called out to her.

"Get lost!" Naomi retorted, kicking his shoes out the door before slamming it shut.

Outside, Brendan fumed. Damn it! In his twenty-six years, he'd never been treated like this, never been kicked out by anyone.

"Naomi, open this door right now!"

Naomi ignored him.

"Naomi!"

Silence.

After several calls, he finally explained, "Tonight, I intentionally provoked you because I was upset you wouldn't be intimate with me last time."

Naomi had long since returned to her bedroom. This was her place; she could kick out whomever she wanted.

Brendan yelled for a long time, receiving no response. He kicked the door in frustration, muttering, "How stubborn."

Just as he retracted his foot, security arrived. "Sir, there's a complaint about you causing a disturbance and trespassing."

Brendan clenched his teeth and swore at Naomi.

With Ronald gone and Brendan leaving, Naomi's world finally quieted. After showering, she collapsed onto her bed and slept soundly.

Chapter 90

The next morning, Naomi awoke to a series of urgent calls. Eyes still closed, she fumbled for her phone and mumbled, "Who is it?"

Heather's voice rushed through the phone. "Naomi, Grandpa is furious. You need to come back to the old mansion immediately."

Naomi closed her eyes again and replied half-heartedly, "I got it, Mom."

"Naomi, wake up now and hurry over!" Heather urged. She muttered to herself, "These two brats are always causing trouble." She continued to scold Naomi, who listened quietly. After hanging up, Naomi reluctantly got out of bed.

While getting ready, Bailey reported that Elaine had held a press conference earlier, stating the previous night's incident was a misunderstanding, orchestrated by someone else. Despite this, the Sabella family's South Glistenville project had been withdrawn overnight, their stocks plummeting over a billion dollars—wiping out recent gains and causing a multi-billion dollar loss. Ashburgh was in turmoil.

Arriving at the old Ludwig mansion in her Audi, Naomi found the Ludwig elders already there, including Brendan and Ronald. Ronald, however, looked haggard, with dark circles under his eyes. What had Brendan done to him? Had he used the same tactics as Naomi, setting up a group of girls for Ronald?
