Chapter 132:

Elyse was livid. Jayden had never behaved like this before. She stood up angrily and walked to him, intending to drag him from the room. But, try as she might, the wheelchair wouldn't budge. It seemed firmly stuck to the floor.

Even so, Elyse didn't give up easily. She tried repeatedly, and with each failed attempt, her resentment grew. Finally, she let out a frustrated sound and glowered at him. "Fine," she said. "If you won't leave, then suit yourself. I'm going to bed."

She stomped past him and climbed onto the bed, wrapping herself tightly in the blanket until even her head was covered.

Jayden watched with amusement. He stood and joined her on the bed, deliberately causing the springs to creak as he sat down.

Elyse remained still, pretending to hear nothing.

Jayden reached out and poked her forehead. Her hand shot out, slapping his finger away. Next, he poked her buttock, causing her to twist and snarl at him from under the blanket. "Don't touch me," she hissed. "Believe it or not, I will kick you out of bed. Literally."

Jayden scoffed at her threat and easily pulled her into his arms. "Please, honey," he said. "I can't sleep without you."

"Have some shame, Jayden Owen," Elyse struggled in his embrace. "And let go of me." After a while, however, she was too exhausted to move. She finally pulled the blanket from her face and stared blankly at the ceiling in defeat.

Jayden poked her cheek. "Why is your head coming out? Can't keep hiding, can you?"

Elyse rolled her eyes. "You win," she said. "I think I almost suffocated."

Jayden quickly turned off the lights before completely removing the blanket. "You were meant to be pinned down under me," he said. "Now be good and let me pleasure you."

Elyse froze in shock. Before she could react, his lips were on hers. She tried to say, "I haven't forgiven you yet," but her words were lost in the kiss.

Later that night, Judy, forgotten by everyone, finally arrived at the villa gates. She had taken a taxi earlier, but the driver had scammed her by taking a lengthy detour. Just as she was about to file a complaint, he ejected her from the car. She then took another taxi, but this driver also didn't know the way, resulting in another long detour.

Over three hours had passed since Elyse and Jayden had returned home, and the villa was now deathly quiet. The household staff had gone to bed, and even the security guards were dozing in the surveillance room.

Judy stood at the villa's entrance and rang the doorbell repeatedly, but no one answered.

She was cold, exhausted, and desperate to drive a wedge between Elyse and Jayden, preventing them from sleeping together. Instead, she found herself locked out. She continued ringing the doorbell. Half an hour later, a security guard finally awoke.

He peered at the security camera feed and spoke through the intercom. "Who are you? What are you doing here so late?"

Judy almost jumped with relief. "My name is Judy Foster. I'm a friend of Jayden's. Open the door and let me in."

The security team knew their boss's friends, but this guard hadn't heard of Judy. He hesitated. "You say you're a guest. Why haven't I seen you before?"

"I was out all day," Judy explained hastily. "I drove out with Jayden this morning."

The security guard frowned. "Why would Mr. Owen drive out with this woman? He's so devoted to his wife, and they even came home together."

At that moment, his heavier colleague awoke. He rubbed his eyes and asked about the commotion. Then he said, "Oh, I know her. She's the new maid. Let her in through the back door and have her stay in the servants' quarters."

The first guard complied, instructing Judy to go around to the back. Initially, Judy didn't grasp the implication, relieved simply to be inside. Only after entering through the back door did she realize she was in the servants' quarters.

Were they really going to treat her like a servant?

Judy was furious. She wanted to find Jayden and demand he fire the guards immediately. But she took a deep breath, remembering her goal: to become Jayden's wife. She wouldn't let this minor setback deter her. She would deal with the guards later, once she was the hostess of the house.

Judy calmed down and accepted that she would spend the night in the servants' quarters. It wouldn't be for long. Soon, she would be in the master bedroom, next to Jayden.
