Chapter 271:

Jayden intercepted Elyse as she tried to evade him, growing more adept at slipping his fingers between her legs. A surge of sensation coursed through Elyse as Jayden's fingers deftly moved, eliciting an involuntary gasp. "No, don'tโ€ฆ" she protested. He held her trembling body firmly, leaned in, and nibbled her earlobe. His warm breath on her sensitive skin intensified her tremors.

"Why didn't you come to me sooner?" Jayden's voice held a note of frustration. "Elyse, I'm upset." His words puzzled her. Wasn't she the one who had been upset lately? His focus on such a minor issue, and his apparent intent to punish her, left Elyse conflicted. She bit her lip, struggling to suppress a moan. "It's your fault too. You should apologize first."

Did she truly expect an apology from him? Jayden arched an eyebrow. No one had ever made him concede before. Furthermore, everything he did was for her well-being. Why should he apologize? Was Elyse being ungrateful? He had devoted himself to her, tending to her needs daily. Yet, she harbored lingering resentment over trivial matters.

Jayden withdrew his hand and forcefully thrust into her vagina, his tone chastising. "I've spoiled you too much." Unable to articulate a response, she moaned. She desperately wanted to ask when he had spoiled her. He had given her everything. How could he say such a thing? Her irritation with him grew.

He nipped at her shoulder, continuing, "Do you know your mistake? Will you continue to ignore me?" Elyse was losing herself to his thrusts but remained resolute in not yielding. Observing her reaction, Jayden chuckled softly. "You've become more adept at avoiding admitting your mistakes."

Jayden didn't press his questions or demand an apology. Instead, he expressed his disapproval through forceful thrusts. Finally, she collapsed onto his lap, overwhelmed. Her body still spasmed from their lovemaking. If Jayden hadn't supported her, she would have fallen to the ground.

Afterward, Jayden gently wiped away her tears with his thumb. His voice, low and husky, softened with tenderness. "I'll help you resolve this issue. Don't worry." Elyse leaned against him, regaining her composure. She offered a slight nod.

On the second day, at orchestra rehearsal, she overheard other members gossiping. "Did you hear about Mabel Lloyd's album? It got pulled from release." "That's the thing. No one knows. Her agency hasn't said a word. Why they pulled it is a mystery." "I'm not sure. The album was pretty good, so it's puzzling." "The music was fine. But the lyrics, not so much. I listened to the instrumental version a couple of days ago and slept well."

Elyse was stunned, realizing Jayden must have been behind it. He had promised to help, but she hadn't expected such swift action. Only one night had passed.

After some thought, she sent Jayden a message. Meanwhile, Jayden, engrossed in a meeting at Bayzee Group, frowned as he listened to a manager's quarterly report. His phone buzzed, breaking the monotony.

Bored, he checked it. Elyse's message simply stated, "Thank you." Suppressing any reaction, he replied, "You're welcome." He then lifted his gaze, his expression softening as he looked at the manager.

The already sweating manager grew even more anxious. An hour later, the meeting concluded, and the senior executives left. Jayden sat, twirling a pen.

"Mr. Owen, you have a video conference with overseas partners in ten minutes. Please return to your office," a woman's voice, laced with a hint of seduction, announced.

Jayden looked up at the new secretary. "You're the new assistant. What's your name?"

"My name is Eva Prescott," she replied with a captivating smile.

The ellipsis at the end suggests more to the story but is unnecessary if this is the end of the chapter.
