Chapter 204
If someone could act like this without a grudge, it meant she might be secretly in love with Silas.
Working so closely with Silas, constantly targeting her, his wife, itโs almost a dead giveaway that sheโs into him.
โYou might not know me, but I sure know you!โ The woman laughed coldly. โHow did you end up with Silas? Silas belongs with me! You better hurry up and divorce him!โ
Calliope smirked, โAh, so-โ
โSo, what!โ the woman snapped, glaring at Calliope. โYou donโt deserve Silas. Heโs so strong and exceptional, and you, well, youโre nothing. The Jewell family isnโt even worthy of the Baker family, and youโve been kicked out of your own clan! You have nothing to offer. I know you saved Silas once, but heโs repaid that favor. So, stop shamelessly clinging to him! Calliope, leave Silas alone, or I wonโt let you off easy!โ
Calliope sat calmly on the sofa, listening to her tirade. It boiled down to one thing: she wasnโt good enough for Silas.
โSo, if I step aside, will you become Mrs. Myers?โ Calliope asked as she leisurely picked up a piece of fruit and took a bite.
โWhether I do or not, you still have to leave because youโre not worthy!โ the woman huffed.
โOh, Silas isnโt planning to marry you. Even if you push me out, the title of Mrs. Myers wonโt be yours,โ Calliope nodded. โGot it.โ
โGot what!โ the woman was livid.
Calliope didnโt respond. She lowered her head, continuing to nibble on the fruit.
โWhat kind of attitude is that? Didnโt I tell you to leave Silas? Are you going or not? Give me a straightforward answer!โ
โIโm not going anywhere,โ Calliope replied coldly, looking up. โSorry, you may fancy Silas, but I love him too. Silas is my husband. Why should I leave? Unless he asks me to.โ
โWhat did you say? I knew it! You schemer, your engagement to Gideon was just a ruse. Silas was your target all along, right?โ The woman was practically fuming.
Calliope tilted her head, studying her.
โCalliope, I wonโt let you get away with this. Iโm warning you. Iโll ensure you regret it if you keep clinging to Silas!โ
โOh, be my guest.โ
โJust you wait!โ
Calliope watched her calmly.
Meanwhile, Silas had stood outside the CEOโs office for a few minutes. Heโd heard every word of Calliopeโs conversation with the woman, including the part where she confessed that she loved him too.
A smile crept across his face, and he couldnโt help feeling overjoyed.
Fagan glanced at his boss, who was grinning like a fool. It was almost ridiculous.
So it was clear as day; the boss was head over heels for his wife. Just one casual remark from his wife about not leaving, and the boss was over the moon. Was this their usually stoic CEO?
The office door suddenly swung open, and Silas strode into the room.
Calliope turned to look at Silas, but before she could react, the woman beside her suddenly collapsed onto the floor, wailing and crying.
โMrs. Myers, why did you do this to me? You must know how close Silas and I are, and thatโs why youโre bullying me!โ
โI was just bringing you a cup of coffee. Why did you throw it at me!โ
