Chapter 206

โ€œSilasโ€“โ€ Kelda carefully got to her feet.

โ€œAre you going to come clean, or should I dig up the truth and show you the door?โ€ Silas looked at Kelda with a steady gaze. โ€œI know my wife well enough. She wouldnโ€™t do anything to you. Itโ€™s you whoโ€™s giving her a hard time, right?โ€

โ€œI, Iโ€ฆโ€ Kelda felt a chill down her spine. โ€œIโ€™m sorry, Silas. I messed up!โ€

โ€œSorry to me?โ€ Silas questioned, arching an eyebrow.

โ€œNo, not to you!โ€ Keldaโ€™s eyes darted to Calliope, filled with fear. โ€œCalliopeโ€“โ€

โ€œHmm?โ€ Silas raised a brow.

โ€œCallieโ€“โ€ Kelda bit her lip, glaring at Calliope, but she didnโ€™t dare say another word. She knew what kind of person Silas was. Even though her brother had sacrificed himself for Silas, earning her his favor, she understood Silas had his principles. Cross him, and she knew heโ€™d not stand by her unconditionally.

From day one with Silas, she knew who he was. To stay in his good graces, she had to play her cards right and not overstep.

โ€œCallie, Iโ€™m sorry. I shouldnโ€™t have thrown coffee at you or tried to frame you! Can you forgive me?โ€

Calliope shrugged, mildly surprised at Keldaโ€™s quick admission of guilt.

โ€œYou think a simple โ€˜sorryโ€˜ should suffice?โ€ Silas asked coldly. โ€œIsnโ€™t that a bit too easy?โ€

Keldaโ€™s face froze. She peeked at Silas, pouting, and muttered, โ€œThen what should I do?โ€

โ€œAgree to three conditions she sets,โ€ Silas replied.

โ€œWhat conditions?โ€ Kelda asked, looking back at Calliope with mixed emotions.

โ€œThatโ€™s for my wife to decide,โ€ Silas said. โ€œYou mess up, and you face the consequences. Can you handle that?โ€ Kelda puffed her cheeks, looking miffed at Calliope. โ€œFine! What do you want me to do?โ€

โ€œI havenโ€™t thought of anything yet, but Iโ€™ll let you know,โ€ Calliope said with a sly smile.

โ€œExchange contact info. But donโ€™t bother my wife unnecessarily. If she needs you, sheโ€™ll reach out,โ€ Silas instructed.

Kelda was displeased, but with Silas siding with Calliope, she had no choice but to comply and exchange contact details.

Once they were done, Silas had Kelda clean up the spilled coffee and then guided Calliope to the conference room.

Kelda tugged Faganโ€™s sleeve confusedly. โ€œWhyโ€™s Silas taking her to the conference room?โ€

โ€œMost of the board members are here today, along with the top brass,โ€ Fagan explained. โ€œI reckon Mr. Myers wants to introduce his wife to everyone.โ€

He wanted to chuckle at how their usually aloof Mr. Myers had turned into a lovestruck fool. It seemed he was ready to give his heart and soul to his wife.

Still, Fagan trusted his bossโ€™s judgment. Anyone he loved couldnโ€™t be that bad.

โ€œWhat?โ€ Kelda gasped. โ€œSilas is going to introduce her to everyone?โ€
