Chapter 367
Monty and his group watched the whole scene unfold with their jaws practically on the floor. Initially, they found it hard to believe that Caffiods could own this upscale club, but after what they just witnessed, they couldnโt deny it any longer. Calliope was indeed the boss! This wasnโt some kind of elaborate hoax.
As Calliope walked ahead, Silas came over, standing nearby with a warm smile as he waited for her. Once she reached him, he gently took her hand. Silas glanced back at Monty and his group, his eyes carrying a subtle warning. Within minutes, Calliope and Silas vanished from sight, leaving Monty bewildered.
Monty instinctively approached Franco, who was still lingering nearby. โFranco, is Calliope really the owner of this club?โ he asked again, needing confirmation.
โShe is our boss,โ Franco replied. โIf you donโt believe me, come with me. Iโll show you the evidence.โ
Without missing a beat, Monty and his group followed Franco. A few minutes later, they stood at the entrance of an office. Franco gestured to it. โThe office we just passed is mine. This one belongs to her.โ
The door swung open to reveal a spacious, meticulously decorated office. On the desk lay a photograph of Calliope herself. Franco showed them documents signed by Calliope and took them to see the business licenses and other credentials.
After taking it all in, Monty and his group were left in a state of shock. Calliope really did own the place. How on earth did she manage to own such a massive enterprise?
โThis clubโฆ it must make a fortune, right?โ Monty asked, glancing at Franco.
Franco chuckled, โA meal here can cost as much as a small fortune. Weโre booked solid with reservations months in advance. What do you think? The revenue from this one club alone can surpass the income from a couple dozen of the Jewell familyโs businessesโฆโ
โAnd weโre just talking about one location. Pearl Tiger Club is a global brand, you know? Of course, our boss has more than just this club. She owns so many that even she probably canโt keep track of them all.โ
Franco watched as the realization dawned on them, their expressions turning to stone. He couldnโt help but find it amusing. A bunch of fools. Regretting it now, arenโt you?
โNo way, she canโt be that wealthy, she canโt own that many businesses!โ Valerian protested, his brow furrowed. โFranco, are you really not pulling our leg?โ
โIf you think Iโm lying, go ahead and check for yourselves,โ Franco said with a casual smile. โBut remember, she was never someone you should have messed with. If sheโs polite, you should take it as a blessing and leave it at that. If sheโs asking for shares in your company or wants to manage it, itโs not because she actually values it. Itโs just a passing interest. If she truly wanted it, taking it would be a piece of cake. She has plenty of people, myself included, willing to help. Frankly, the Jewell familyโs business isnโt even on my radar.โ
Franco winked, a wicked grin playing on his lips. โI think itโs time for you folks to leave. Weโll see you out. Oh, and donโt forget to settle your bill on the way out. Youโve eaten quite a bit today!โ
