Chapter 927

No girl could resist a gesture of kindness, especially when it came with a dessert.

โ€œCan I sit for a moment?โ€ Keira asked the girl, seeking her permission even though this was her place.

โ€œOf course. Youโ€™re the owner here, right?โ€ she replied, recognizing Keira immediately.

Keira glanced down at her work apron, smiling lightly. โ€œHow did you guess? Is it written on my face?โ€

โ€œYou look even better in person than in the photos,โ€ the girl said candidly, studying her with an open gaze.

Keira gave her a puzzled look. โ€œHmm?โ€

She pulled out her phone and opened a video. โ€œThis is how I found this place. Itโ€™s amazing.โ€

It turned out that a blogger had visited the cafรฉ and shared a video and photos online. In his post, he wrote:

โ€œThe air here is soft; it calms your weary heart as you breathe it in. The leaves on the trees are alive, reminding you that every day has its colors. The coffee is bittersweet, much like life, and the owner is a stranger who genuinely cares. When she greets you, she doesnโ€™t say โ€˜helloโ€™; she says โ€˜May the heavens bless you.โ€™โ€

Reading those words, Keira felt a sudden sting in her nose, her eyes prickling with emotion.

At first, she had started this cafรฉ to heal herself, never imagining it would also heal so many others in need.

As for her habit of saying, โ€œMay the heavens bless youโ€ to every guest, it had been her way of honoring Jace and Abbott Levinsky. Yet, it became a source of comfort and care for those who were teetering on the edge.

It turned out that when you did something sincerely, without pretense, everything naturally fell into place.

At that moment, Keira understood why people left their phones behind there, why they could sit quietly in solitude.

The girl continued, โ€œThat blogger also wrote a story. He said he had lost his job and broken up with his girlfriend, and suddenly life felt meaningless. He wandered aimlessly, looking for a place to end it all.โ€

โ€œHe ended up in this out-of-the-way spot, where he caught the scent of coffee in the air. He thought, since he was about to end it all, he might as well have one last cup of coffee because heโ€™d always loved it.โ€

โ€œWhen he got here, there wasnโ€™t a single guest in the courtyard, only the owner sitting quietly by herself. She wasnโ€™t reading or on her phoneโ€”just sitting there, looking at the sky and the trees.โ€

โ€œHe stood there watching her for a long, long time, and she didnโ€™t notice him. Curious, he walked over, and she greeted him calmly with a smile, saying, โ€˜May the heavens bless you.โ€™โ€

โ€œAt that moment, he felt a jolt run through his body. The owner brewed him a cup of coffee, and that simple blessing, along with the coffee, saved his lifeโ€ฆโ€

Listening to her words, Keira remembered that boy. He wasnโ€™t very tall, had beautiful European-style double eyelids, but his face was dotted with acne. When he looked at her back then, his eyes were devoid of light.

Later, he drank the coffee and left a 100-yuan bill. On it, heโ€™d written four words: May the heavens bless you.

Keira had never imagined that those four simple words could save a life.

When she returned inside, Hayden noticed the smile on her face. โ€œWhy so happy?โ€ he asked.

โ€œHayden, give me a hug,โ€ Keira said, stretching out her arms toward him.

He walked over and embraced her, his chin gently brushing against the top of her head. โ€œWhatโ€™s up, my little Kiki?โ€

โ€œMay the heavens bless you,โ€ Keira whispered to him.

At first, she had never given much thought to the significance of those words. But to others, they were a source of strength, a blessing, a faith that could overcome any hardship.

The power of it was overwhelming.

As she leaned against Haydenโ€™s shoulder, looking at the guests in the cafรฉ, she felt for the first time that this little courtyard was the best decision she had ever made in her life. It healed her, and it was healing others too.

โ€œMay the heavens bless you,โ€ Hayden echoed softly.

โ€œHayden, letโ€™s not have an opening ceremony,โ€ Keira said suddenly.

โ€œNo way. We have to,โ€ he replied, his tone firm and resolute for the first time.

Keira looked at him, puzzled. โ€œWhy do we have to?โ€
