Thanks to a blogger’s promotion, her little courtyard became popular before it even officially opened. Visitors came in an endless stream every day, and weekends were especially crowded. With all this activity, Keira hadn’t had time to visit Lena. Lena came to see her instead, but it was obvious she had something on her mind.

Keira made her a cup of coffee and carefully crafted a pretty cloud-shaped latte art. “Here, your exclusive special,” she said with a smile.

“Wow, your skills have improved a lot lately,” Lena exclaimed.

“It’s not just good-looking; it’s delicious too,” Keira replied, grinning. Her feelings toward making coffee had gone beyond liking—it was love now.

Lena studied Keira closely. “Lil’ Rea, you’ve got this glow about you now. You seem so full of energy and life.”

Honestly, Keira had noticed it too. It felt like her whole body was brimming with strength, and every day she woke up with something to look forward to.

“What about your glow?” Keira asked her.

“Glow? I’d be lucky if my whole family doesn’t collapse,” she muttered, then told her about Aaron searching for his biological parents.

Keira was taken aback. “Why is he suddenly looking for his birth parents?”

“He said they gave him life, and once he finds them, he’ll repay them in one go and owe them nothing anymore.” Lena’s face was clouded with worry.

“Does your mom or your grandparents know about this?” Keira asked. She knew how much the Ace family cared about Aaron.

She shook her head lightly. “He only told me.” Keira brought over some dessert and set it in front of her. “Is he hoping you’ll help him figure out what to do?”

“No. He wasn’t even planning to tell me; I had to press him when I noticed something was off,” she said, popping a cherry from the cake into her mouth.

Keira thought for a moment. “If he just wants to repay the favor of being born, then let him. Once he finds them, he can give them some money and explain everything clearly.”

“It’s not that simple,” Lena said, twirling the cherry stem between her fingers. “He wants to make a public statement.”

“If he does that, everyone will know Aaron isn’t actually part of the Ace family. My grandparents are old; they won’t be able to handle it. My mom? Don’t even get me started,” she said, clearly dreading the fallout.

Keira frowned slightly. “Aaron isn’t someone who acts without thought. He wouldn’t make a rash decision like this without considering the consequences.”

“That’s what I told him too. I laid out all the potential risks, and do you know what he said?” Lena tossed the cherry stem onto the table. “He said I’d better be there that day, ready with a first-aid kit.”

“Pfft!” Keira couldn’t help but laugh at that.

“Don’t laugh! He really said that! And I think he’s serious,” Lena grumbled. “My uncle is the kind of person who will do whatever he’s set his mind on, no matter the cost.”

Although Keira didn’t know Aaron very well, she was sure he wasn’t impulsive or reckless. He must have his reasons. Maybe Hayden knew something.

But she didn’t voice her thoughts. Instead, she speared a piece of cake with a fork and offered it to Lena, saying, “I think he has his own plans. Don’t stress yourself out over it.”

“There’s no point in stressing. If the sky wants to rain or a bride wants to marry, there’s no stopping it. I guess all I can do is what he suggested—show up on the day he announces it, first-aid kit in hand, ready for anything,” Lena said, suddenly more relaxed.

She finally noticed the unusual number of guests in Keira’s courtyard. “Your little place is really taking off, isn’t it?”

“I wouldn’t say it’s booming, just gaining a bit of recognition,” Keira replied, explaining the blogger’s promotion.

Lena gave her a strange look, different from her usual expressions.

Keira chuckled softly. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
