Chapter 180

Josiah frowned, falling silent for a moment. "This won't happen again. Zach, let's go."

"Okay," Zach replied, hurrying to catch up without a sound.

Yvette stood frozen, her face pale and blank. What on earth was happening? Since Sienna's return, both Howard and Josiah had changed. A silver-gray Pagani followed them again, and Josiah's face grew even more sullen. As soon as Josiah stepped outside, Zach explained, "Mr. Browne has been following us the whole time and hasn't left." Josiah gritted his teeth. What a persistent guy! He didn't have time to worry about this now. A silver-gray Pagani had followed them once more.

When Josiah arrived at the Flynn Group, a pile of tasks awaited him. He forced himself to concentrate and worked through them. By evening, he had almost finished, but lacked the energy or mood for socializing. He headed to the garage, got in his car, and prepared to return to the Flynn residence. As the car pulled away, he couldn't help but ask, "Still no news?"

Zach paused, then replied, "No."

Josiah closed his eyes, frustratingly loosening his tie. It was an expected result—if there were any news, Zach would certainly have told him. Gathering his courage, Zach suggested, "I think no news can be good news, too. Maybe Sienna has a friend we don't know about."

Before he could finish, the car screeched to a halt. He looked at Zaid. "Zaid, you've been driving for years. Can't you manage the car better?"

"Just a little accident," Zaid chuckled apologetically, pointing ahead. "A young girl suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. How could I have expected that?"

Zach looked over; a girl was indeed in front of the car. The snowy road was slippery, and her belongings were scattered as she crouched to pick them up. Zach squinted. "Mr. Flynn, isn't she Sienna's colleague, Rosie?"

Josiah seemed unconcerned; whether she was Rosie or not was unimportant to him.

Zach said, "Mr. Flynn, I'll go help her," opening the door and assisting Rosie with her things. Their car couldn't move until she did. He helped her gather everything. "Ms. Miller, the road is slippery. Be careful."

"Thank you," Rosie said, smiling and hugging her things close.

"Your bag is ripped," Zach pointed out kindly. "Are you heading home? We could give you a ride."

"Thanks, but no need," Rosie replied, quickly shaking her head. "I can walk by myself."

Zach didn't push it. He picked up a small box and handed it to her, looking at her curiously. "Are you hurt? Do you have a fever?"

"Uh, yeah," Rosie replied politely, putting the box in her bag. "Thanks, I have to go." She hugged her belongings tightly and jogged across the street.

Zach got back in the car and turned to Josiah. "Mr. Flynn, Rosie seems a bit odd. She doesn't look injured, but she bought ointment and fever patches."

"Zaid, start the car," Josiah said, uninterested in Rosie's affairs.

Zaid nodded. "Alright."

As they drove off, Zach pointed out the window. "Why is Rosie walking this way? This isn't the way to City Pearl; it's the exact opposite."

Suddenly, Josiah's eyes snapped open, and he sat upright. Zach was startled. "Mr. Flynn, I... I won't say anything more."

Josiah didn't have time to explain. He instructed Zaid, "Follow Rosie."

"Okay," Zaid replied.

Zach looked confused. What was Mr. Flynn planning? Josiah couldn't explain it—it was an instinctive feeling that following Rosie would lead him to Sienna. He clasped his hands together, resting them on his forehead, silently praying, "Please, let me find Sienna."

Rosie, carrying many things, was unaware she was being followed. She took a bus, got off near Lyceum Street on Sunshine Road, and walked into the Sunshine Neighborhood.

Zach frowned. "Mr. Flynn, she went inside. What should we do?"

"Follow her inside," Josiah said calmly. Just then, his phone rang. It was Howard. Josiah answered, "I'm at Sunshine Neighborhood on Sunshine Road. Sienna should be here."

The brothers exchanged a few words and hung up. Howard wheeled himself outside.

"Howard, where are you going?" Yvette asked.

Howard glanced at her. "There's news about Sienna. I'm heading to Sunshine Neighborhood. You stay home with Grandma. Hervey and I will handle it."

In the apartment, Sienna was coaxing Joyce. "Be good. You need a shot. If you don't get one, you could get a fever and be sick, and I'll be very worried."

Joyce was reluctant, but hearing the last sentence, her eyes twinkled. In a soft voice, she asked, "Just like how you're now?"

"Yeah," Sienna replied. "If I get sick, would you feel sad?"

"Of course," Joyce immediately understood. After a struggle, she said, sounding wronged and brave, "I don't want you to worry. I will take the shot."

"You're such a good girl," Sienna smiled.

Tara clapped her hands and picked up Joyce. "Let's go get your shot. If you don't cry, I'll buy you some candied haws, okay?"

Joyce lay on Tara's shoulder, looking at Sienna. "Mom, is that okay?"

"Sure!" Sienna smiled and nodded. "But you can only have one, alright!"

"Okay, thanks, Mom." Joyce hugged Tara. "Thank you. I won't cry."

"Let's go," Tara said, carrying Joyce out the door.

Howard watched with envy. Joyce was adorable. His daughter was definitely in the "makes you want to have a daughter" category. He pulled out a chair, sat down, placing his bag aside. "Don't worry, I won't spill your secret. My lips are sealed." After a pause, he pointed at Sienna's hand. "Let me see; you need to change the medicine."

Sienna obediently raised her hand. "I feel it's okay."

Rosie unwrapped the bandage and examined it closely. She wasn't an expert, but something wasn't right. "It looks swollen. Should we go to the hospital?"

"No," Sienna instantly rejected, her face paling, shoulders tensing. "If I go to the hospital, he'll find me." Josiah had visited the dance studio, asking each staff member about Sienna's whereabouts. Rosie had told Sienna everything. Sienna knew he was looking for her all over the city. She didn't want to meet him.

"Alright. We won't go," Rosie said, seeing her intense reaction.

Downstairs in the elevator area, Zach said, "Mr. Flynn, Rosie stopped on the ninth floor."

Josiah hummed in response. As the elevator doors opened, he stepped inside immediately.

Meanwhile, the next elevator opened, and Tara came out holding Joyce. "Let's go. Time to get some candy apples."

As the elevator doors closed, Josiah stopped and stared. Was that Joyce?
