Chapter 214

โ€œBe good and cooperate,โ€ Reyna giggled. โ€œDonโ€™t worry. Iโ€™m just taking some pictures of you. As long as you go to the hospital to donate your liver to save Conner, I promise these photos will never be leaked.โ€

Reyna attempted to unbutton Siennaโ€™s clothing, but encountered difficulty. โ€œWhat kind of clothes are you wearing? Theyโ€™re so hard toโ€ฆโ€ Sienna, wearing training clothes with hidden buttons, offered a faint sneer and panted, โ€œOn the back, at the waist.โ€

Reyna, bold but not foolish, leaned forward, reaching for Siennaโ€™s back. She was puzzled when Sienna revealed this; it seemed deliberately misleading. A scream shattered the warehouseโ€™s silence. The moment Reyna leaned forward, Sienna swiftly bent her knees and delivered a powerful kick to Reynaโ€™s waist and abdomen.

Sienna, a dancer, effortlessly propelled Reyna several feet. Despite her bound hands and feet, she maintained surprising mobility. The impact sent Reyna crashing into a wooden crate with a resounding bang. Stars swam before her eyes; her back felt broken.

Clutching her stomach, Reyna gasped, pointing at Sienna. โ€œJust you waitโ€ฆ You brought this on yourself!โ€ She shouted, โ€œJamie!โ€

โ€œIโ€™m here!โ€ Jamie, the thug, hadn't strayed far. He rushed back at her call. He looked at Sienna, concerned. โ€œReyna, what happened? Did she hurt you?โ€

โ€œTake off her clothes. Take pictures of her,โ€ Reyna demanded angrily.

Jamie hesitated. Reyna urged, โ€œWhat are you waiting for? Hurry up!โ€

Reluctantly, Jamie approached Sienna, cracking his knuckles. โ€œYouโ€™re pretty tough, huh? How dare you hurt Reyna!? Iโ€™d like to see how much you can take.โ€

Jamie, far rougher than Reyna, tore Siennaโ€™s training suit, exposing her skin to the cool air. He sneered, poised to continue, when a deafening bang, like an earthquake, rocked the warehouse. Stunned silence followed.

Jamie looked at Reyna. โ€œWhatโ€™s going on? Is it an earthquake?โ€ The sound repeated. โ€œSomeoneโ€™s hitting the door!โ€ Jamie ran towards the door, then froze, staring in disbelief.

A black Touareg, its front smashed, charged toward them. Jamie rolled, narrowly avoiding collision, landing tangled with Reyna. The Touareg crashed into a cargo box, billowing dust.

Reyna coughed violently. โ€œWho isโ€ฆโ€

Josiah leaped from the car. Jamie was startled. โ€œItโ€™s the one who chased us!โ€

Reyna was exasperated. โ€œDidnโ€™t you get rid of him?โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t see him,โ€ Jamie replied.

Reyna cursed, โ€œIdiot!โ€

Josiah strode through the dust towards Sienna. Seeing her partially clothed, his eyes burned. โ€œSienna.โ€ He draped his jacket over her, then addressed his subordinate with a sharp gaze. โ€œWhat are you looking at? Do you still want your eyes?โ€

The subordinate quickly averted his gaze. โ€œMr. Flynn, I didnโ€™t see anything, I swear!โ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s the use of swearing?โ€ Josiah snapped. โ€œIs there a blanket in the car?โ€

The subordinate retrieved a blanket. Josiah untied Siennaโ€™s bonds, lifted her, and touched her face. โ€œIโ€™m sorry. Iโ€™m late.โ€ Sienna leaned against him, pale and sweating.

โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong?โ€ Josiah was terrified. โ€œDid I hurt you? Did they hurt you? Where are you hurt?โ€

โ€œShoulderโ€ฆโ€ Sienna whispered, the pain concentrated where she leaned against Josiah.

โ€œOh, Iโ€™m sorry.โ€ Josiah tried to adjust her, but Sienna moaned. โ€œIt hurts.โ€

Josiah, sweating, carefully shifted her. โ€œIs that better?โ€ he coaxed. โ€œBear with it. Iโ€™ll take you to the hospital.โ€

Sienna nodded weakly. She hadnโ€™t expected him to come, to chase her here. With effort, she reached for him.

โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong?โ€ Josiah took her hand. โ€œDo you need anything?โ€

โ€œNoโ€ฆโ€ Sienna pointed to his forehead. โ€œBloodโ€ฆโ€

Josiah touched his forehead. Heโ€™d hit his head during the car crash. He smiled. โ€œJust a scratch. Itโ€™s fine.โ€ Sienna remained silent, her heart troubled.

Reyna and Jamie, sensing their escape, slipped away unnoticed. The subordinate, returning with the blanket, spotted them. โ€œStop!โ€ he shouted, then panickedly addressed Josiah, โ€œMr. Flynn, they ran away! Should we chase them?โ€

โ€œChase them! How? Theyโ€™re already driving away. We only have one car, and Sienna needs the hospital,โ€ Josiah thought.

He frowned. โ€œWho are they? Why did they kidnap you?โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t know them,โ€ Sienna shook her head. โ€œThey wanted nude photos to blackmail me.โ€ It was the truth, but not the whole truth.

Josiah found it absurd. โ€˜Are they crazy for money?โ€™ he wondered.

โ€œIt doesnโ€™t matter. As long as they showed their faces, and theyโ€™re in Jelacrity, weโ€™ll find them,โ€ Josiah declared firmly.

Sienna groaned, clutching his arm. โ€œIt hurts.โ€

Josiah glared at his subordinate. โ€œWhat are you looking at? Get the car closer.โ€

Josiah helped Sienna towards the car. โ€œSlow down. Can you walk, or do I carry you?โ€

Sienna collapsed into his arms. โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong?โ€ Josiah panicked, avoiding her shoulder. โ€œSienna, where does it hurt?โ€

He saw Sienna clutching her stomach. He wondered, โ€˜What did they do to her?โ€™ He picked her up.

โ€œJosiah,โ€ Sienna whispered, fear gripping her. She guessed it was her babyโ€ฆ

Sienna clutched his shirt. โ€œHurry. Go to the hospital. Save me. Save me.โ€
