Chapter 214

“Be good and cooperate,” Reyna giggled. “Don’t worry. I’m just taking some pictures of you. As long as you go to the hospital to donate your liver to save Conner, I promise these photos will never be leaked.”

Reyna attempted to unbutton Sienna’s clothing, but encountered difficulty. “What kind of clothes are you wearing? They’re so hard to…” Sienna, wearing training clothes with hidden buttons, offered a faint sneer and panted, “On the back, at the waist.”

Reyna, bold but not foolish, leaned forward, reaching for Sienna’s back. She was puzzled when Sienna revealed this; it seemed deliberately misleading. A scream shattered the warehouse’s silence. The moment Reyna leaned forward, Sienna swiftly bent her knees and delivered a powerful kick to Reyna’s waist and abdomen.

Sienna, a dancer, effortlessly propelled Reyna several feet. Despite her bound hands and feet, she maintained surprising mobility. The impact sent Reyna crashing into a wooden crate with a resounding bang. Stars swam before her eyes; her back felt broken.

Clutching her stomach, Reyna gasped, pointing at Sienna. “Just you wait… You brought this on yourself!” She shouted, “Jamie!”

“I’m here!” Jamie, the thug, hadn't strayed far. He rushed back at her call. He looked at Sienna, concerned. “Reyna, what happened? Did she hurt you?”

“Take off her clothes. Take pictures of her,” Reyna demanded angrily.

Jamie hesitated. Reyna urged, “What are you waiting for? Hurry up!”

Reluctantly, Jamie approached Sienna, cracking his knuckles. “You’re pretty tough, huh? How dare you hurt Reyna!? I’d like to see how much you can take.”

Jamie, far rougher than Reyna, tore Sienna’s training suit, exposing her skin to the cool air. He sneered, poised to continue, when a deafening bang, like an earthquake, rocked the warehouse. Stunned silence followed.

Jamie looked at Reyna. “What’s going on? Is it an earthquake?” The sound repeated. “Someone’s hitting the door!” Jamie ran towards the door, then froze, staring in disbelief.

A black Touareg, its front smashed, charged toward them. Jamie rolled, narrowly avoiding collision, landing tangled with Reyna. The Touareg crashed into a cargo box, billowing dust.

Reyna coughed violently. “Who is…”

Josiah leaped from the car. Jamie was startled. “It’s the one who chased us!”

Reyna was exasperated. “Didn’t you get rid of him?”

“I didn’t see him,” Jamie replied.

Reyna cursed, “Idiot!”

Josiah strode through the dust towards Sienna. Seeing her partially clothed, his eyes burned. “Sienna.” He draped his jacket over her, then addressed his subordinate with a sharp gaze. “What are you looking at? Do you still want your eyes?”

The subordinate quickly averted his gaze. “Mr. Flynn, I didn’t see anything, I swear!”

“What’s the use of swearing?” Josiah snapped. “Is there a blanket in the car?”

The subordinate retrieved a blanket. Josiah untied Sienna’s bonds, lifted her, and touched her face. “I’m sorry. I’m late.” Sienna leaned against him, pale and sweating.

“What’s wrong?” Josiah was terrified. “Did I hurt you? Did they hurt you? Where are you hurt?”

“Shoulder…” Sienna whispered, the pain concentrated where she leaned against Josiah.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” Josiah tried to adjust her, but Sienna moaned. “It hurts.”

Josiah, sweating, carefully shifted her. “Is that better?” he coaxed. “Bear with it. I’ll take you to the hospital.”

Sienna nodded weakly. She hadn’t expected him to come, to chase her here. With effort, she reached for him.

“What’s wrong?” Josiah took her hand. “Do you need anything?”

“No…” Sienna pointed to his forehead. “Blood…”

Josiah touched his forehead. He’d hit his head during the car crash. He smiled. “Just a scratch. It’s fine.” Sienna remained silent, her heart troubled.

Reyna and Jamie, sensing their escape, slipped away unnoticed. The subordinate, returning with the blanket, spotted them. “Stop!” he shouted, then panickedly addressed Josiah, “Mr. Flynn, they ran away! Should we chase them?”

“Chase them! How? They’re already driving away. We only have one car, and Sienna needs the hospital,” Josiah thought.

He frowned. “Who are they? Why did they kidnap you?”

“I don’t know them,” Sienna shook her head. “They wanted nude photos to blackmail me.” It was the truth, but not the whole truth.

Josiah found it absurd. ‘Are they crazy for money?’ he wondered.

“It doesn’t matter. As long as they showed their faces, and they’re in Jelacrity, we’ll find them,” Josiah declared firmly.

Sienna groaned, clutching his arm. “It hurts.”

Josiah glared at his subordinate. “What are you looking at? Get the car closer.”

Josiah helped Sienna towards the car. “Slow down. Can you walk, or do I carry you?”

Sienna collapsed into his arms. “What’s wrong?” Josiah panicked, avoiding her shoulder. “Sienna, where does it hurt?”

He saw Sienna clutching her stomach. He wondered, ‘What did they do to her?’ He picked her up.

“Josiah,” Sienna whispered, fear gripping her. She guessed it was her baby…

Sienna clutched his shirt. “Hurry. Go to the hospital. Save me. Save me.”
