Chapter 121

"Thank you," Hailey wiped tears from her eyes. "I know you asked me what I craved most, but I had no idea you'd buy me my dream car."

"Anything to make you happy. I remember every conversation we've ever had. The car is parked at our new home. I can't wait for you to see it." Hailey giggled. They planned to move in after the wedding.

"Thank you."

Cole leaned closer and kissed her forehead. "You're welcome, love."

She placed the receipt back in the envelope, then put it in the gift bag, immediately reaching for the jewelry box. She opened it, revealing a pair of gold earrings.

Hailey's smile widened. "My gold collection has increased since I met you. This is so precious. Thank you, my love. Thank you for always making me happy." She tiptoed and kissed him deeply.

"Yeah, time's up. I can't wait any longer," Cole said, desire in his eyes. He placed the jewelry box in the gift bag and put the bag on the counter.

Hailey giggled as Cole gently turned her around. He loosened her zipper, guided her arms out of her dress, watching it fall.

Cole's eyes burned with desire when he saw her in her lingerie. He helped her out of her clothes and slowly turned her around. He was about to speak when his eyes fell on her belly. "What the?" A proud smile replaced his surprise.

Hailey blushed, biting her lip as Cole stared at her baby bump.

"I went to bed with a flat tummy last night! But I guess she knew we were getting married, so she wanted to be here."

Cole smiled, crouching down. He placed his hand on her abdomen and caressed the bump. "I love you so much." He kissed her belly before rising. "Thank you. You gave me the best gift ever." He kissed her, caressing her.

"I love you so much, Cole."

Chapter 121

Cole nodded, lifted her bridal-style, and carried her to the bedroom. He gently laid her on the bed and began undressing, ready to make love to her.

Epilogue 2.

With nervous eyes, Cole kissed Hailey's sweaty forehead. "We can see the head already. Just a few more pushes, my love, and we'll have our baby." He held her hand as she squeezed tightly.

Hailey pushed with all her might, followed by the loud cry of a newborn. She hit her back against the bed, bursting into tears of joy.

"We did it, sweetheart. We did it," Cole smiled, crying.

The doctor called him to cut the umbilical cord. He kissed Hailey's forehead before going to do so with shaky hands.

The baby was placed on Hailey's chest and immediately stopped crying.

Hailey smiled, kissing the baby's forehead. Then Cole joined them.

"She's so beautiful. She's perfect. Just like you. Thank you for going through so much pain." A tear rolled down Cole's cheek.

"It was all worth it. My precious little girl." She looked at her husband, who was trying to hold back tears.

Hailey squeezed his hand.

"She's so precious. I can't believe we made her." Cole sniffled. "Thank you for being so strong, and thank you for making me a proud dad."

"Thank you for all you do for us."

Cole kissed her lips.

They admired their daughter until a nurse came to take her for a check-up. While the baby was examined, the doctor spoke with Hailey, after which Hailey fell asleep from exhaustion. Cole watched the nurses perform a thorough check-up on his little princess.

HOURS LATER

Hailey slowly opened her eyes. Her vision blurred, then cleared. She saw Cole seated, smiling at her.

She smiled, noticing the beautiful pink decorations in the VIP ward.

"Who did this, and how long have you been staring at me?"

Cole rose, kissed her cheek, and sat beside her. "You like it?"

"It's pretty."

"Where's Bella?"

"The nurse will bring her in shortly."

Hailey nodded.

"And yes, I've been staring at you for a while."

"Did you sleep at all?"

He shook his head. "I've been too excited since Bella joined us. How are you? Feeling okay?"

Hailey chuckled. "I feel like crap. I'm sore."

Cole smiled sadly. "I'm sorry you had to go through all that pain. I felt useless."

Hailey shook her head. "You weren't useless. The pain is inevitable, but as soon as Bella was in my arms, it was all worth it."

"You did well. Thank you for being there for me—through the sleepless nights, my cravings, my tantrums, and even when I was annoying."

Cole smiled, kissing her hand. "You were super annoying, but in a good way. You were never a burden."

Hailey smiled. "I couldn't be happier you were there. You're so loving and supportive. We're blessed to have you."

"No, I'm the lucky one. With you, I have so many favorite days. I'll never forget today. You were so strong. My admiration and respect for you have grown."

Hailey blushed, squeezing his hand. "I adore you too, baby."

A knock came. A nurse wheeled in a bassinet, followed by Dr. Daisy.

"How's my favorite patient?" Dr. Daisy asked.

Hailey smiled. "Sore but good."

"You need rest. You'll feel better soon."

Hailey nodded.

"Are you hungry?"

She shook her head. "I just want to hold my little girl."

"Sure. She's due to be fed."

Dr. Daisy adjusted Hailey's bed. She reached for a nursing pillow and positioned it on Hailey's lap. The nurse placed Bella on the pillow. She helped Hailey adjust her dress so she could feed Bella. Hailey guided her nipple to Bella's mouth, and she latched on immediately.
