Chapter 87: Damon
“You’ll be in awe when you see her. I made sure I bought the sexiest little red dress we could find,” Delilah bragged, walking into my office and sitting down.
“Sexy? How sexy?” I asked, and she giggled. “Well, there’s a slit at the side, and she might have to show some cleavage, but…”
“Luca, get Clara another dress,” I interrupted, and Delilah rolled her eyes.
“Damon…”
“I won’t let any other man lay eyes on her,” I muttered.
She scoffed. “Oh, don’t be boring. She’s going out with you, isn’t she? And I know you rented out the whole restaurant, so who exactly are you jealous of? The air?”
I paused. “The waiters, the cook, everyone there. Heck, I don’t even want Luca to see her in that dress,” I muttered, and she rolled her eyes. Before she could respond, the door opened, and the moment I saw Clara, I forgot how to breathe. Delilah hadn’t even come close to describing how incredibly attractive and sexy Clara looked in that gown. She looked even better naked, but still…
“Do you like it? It’s a little snug; I must have gained a little weight,” Clara murmured, trying to pull the gown down. I wanted to say something, but I was speechless. The gown hugged her curves perfectly. She was a goddess!
“Doesn’t it look nice on me?” Clara asked, with a hint of uncertainty, which confused me. How could my wife ever feel insecure about her looks? She shone brighter than the sun in my eyes.
“Luca, Delilah, get out,” I ordered, and they promptly left.
As soon as they were gone, I stood up and slowly walked toward Clara, who stared up at me with her big, doe eyes, probably wondering why I was approaching. I was wondering, too, but at that moment, I just wanted to be near her. Everything felt better when she was near. I stopped in front of her, and we stared into each other’s eyes for a while until she looked away. Was she shy? My little devil was too cute. I pinched her arm lightly, and she winced dramatically before turning to me with a glare.
“Ow! Why did you do that?” she asked, and I tilted my head.
“I just wanted to make sure you’re real,” I murmured, my eyes immediately drawn to her lips as she bit them.
“W-why?” she asked softly.
“Because you’re too beautiful and sexy for this world, but you’re real, and you’re mine,” I muttered, then kissed her. I was tempted to rip off her clothes when she moaned, but I loved the dress on her.
I smiled and pouted. “Such a temptress. I’m this close to canceling our reservation and keeping you all to myself tonight,” I murmured.
“That can’t happen. Do you know how much effort I put into getting ready?” she murmured, and I sighed before kissing her again and intertwining our fingers.
“Let’s go,” I murmured, leading her from the room.
As we walked out of the mansion, I noticed she kept glancing at me.
“What? Do you want a portrait of my face? Sorry, love, but I won’t encourage your obsession,” I murmured playfully, and she scoffed.
“You wish,” she muttered, trying to pull her hand away, but I held on tight. I leaned over and kissed the tip of her nose. Without needing to say anything, she leaned into me, and I chuckled, wrapping my arms around her.
We got to the car, and the driver tried to open the door, but I stopped him and opened it for Clara myself.
“Milady?” I murmured, bowing slightly.
She giggled. “Why, thank you, young gentleman,” she murmured, kissing my cheek before getting into the car. I closed the door, then got in myself.
As soon as the driver started the car, I pulled her close and kissed her.
“I can’t get enough of you,” I murmured, and she bit her lip, then looked out the window.
“What are you doing?” I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
“You’re making me shy with your words, your stare, and your actions. I won’t look at you until we get to the restaurant,” she murmured, and I rolled my eyes.
“Look at me.”
“No,” she muttered. I stared at her for a while, then placed my hand on her thigh. I felt her body instantly react to my touch. I smiled slightly, then slowly slid my hand under her gown until I felt the heat radiating from her. Just as I was about to touch her… she grabbed my hand and turned to me.
“Damon, please, I don’t want to soil my pants,” she whined, and I chuckled.
“Already too late for that, isn’t it?” I murmured, about to pounce on her when the car stopped.
“We have arrived, Alpha,” the driver announced. Before I could say anything, Clara immediately climbed out of the car, slamming the door.
I let out a chuckle, climbed out, and walked up to her from behind.
“Do you really think I can’t touch you out here, huh?” I murmured into her ear, and she squealed before running toward the restaurant. I watched her with a smile before turning to my head of security.
“No one goes in or out. Guard with your life,” I muttered, and he nodded.
“We will not let you down, Alpha,” he murmured, and I nodded before running after Clara. As soon as I saw her, all seriousness faded, replaced by happiness and contentment.
Chapter 57
Something I never thought I was capable of feeling until I met her… I walked into the restaurant and saw her looking around in awe, tears streaming down her cheeks. I looked around and couldn’t help but commend the organizer I’d hired. It looked absolutely splendid and magical. Clara turned to me, and when my eyes landed on her teary eyes, I knew I was a goner. If anyone had told me I would fall in love with Clara after the first day we met, I would have laughed in their faces. But as I stared at Clara in that moment, I felt all kinds of emotions, but despite that, I felt it—love. It was so strong I didn’t know if I could contain it, but I didn’t want to. I wanted her to know I loved her, and I was going to tell her tonight…
