Listen to this chapter:

โ€œAlright, I said itโ€™s fine, so itโ€™s fine. Just sign the papers. If everything looks good, you can move in within the next couple of days. Iโ€™ve already booked the movers for you,โ€ Rachel said.

Cecilia was so excited she nearly swore out loud, โ€œRachel, meeting you must be the result of all the good karma I built up in my previous life!โ€ She hugged Rachel tightly and grinned from ear to ear, โ€œIโ€™ve never lived in such a nice place in my entire life!โ€

Rachel patted her shoulder lightly.

โ€œAlright, just settle in and treat this as your home. The lease is for five years, so that means you wonโ€™t need to worry about house-hunting again for a while. And nobody will raise the rent either!โ€

Cecilia was so overwhelmed she nearly screamed. โ€œOh my goodness! How did I get so lucky to have a friend like you? Iโ€™m seriously over the moon!โ€

Rachel handed over all the paperwork.

Noticing how Rachel was in a hurry, Cecilia asked curiously, โ€œYouโ€™ve been super busy these days. What exactly have you been up to?โ€

Rachel gave a forced smile. โ€œItโ€™s nothing big. Just dealing with a bunch of minor things. You know, I ended up trending with Tyler, and the buzz still hasnโ€™t died down. I have to find a way to kill the negative press.โ€

Cecilia sighed. โ€œYeah, I get it. The day I saw you and Tyler on the trending list, I was so scared, especially because youโ€™re Mr. Lewisโ€™ wife. The media would never pass up the chance to sink their teeth into a story connecting you with both of those powerful men. Lewis Enterprise and LS Enterprise both have huge influence in Yurelia City.โ€

Rachel felt herself relax slightly, knowing things would finally be resolved tomorrow. โ€œItโ€™s fine. Itโ€™ll all be over by tomorrow, donโ€™t worry about me.โ€

Cecilia suddenly remembered the message Rachel had sent her earlier, and something clicked in her mind. Her eyes widened in shock.

โ€œWait, you didnโ€™t really do that with Mr. Hunt, did you? You asked for his help dealing with the scandal, didnโ€™t you?โ€

Rachel was caught off guard and didnโ€™t know how to respond for a moment. Her thoughts tangled into knots. She was trying to figure out how to explain it. โ€œYeah, you got the first part wrong, but the second partโ€™s true.โ€

Cecilia was even more stunned. โ€œYou didnโ€™t do anything with him? Then why would he agree to help you?โ€

Cecilia suddenly recalled Tylerโ€™s cold and stern expression. Just the sight of him gave people chills, not to mention how emotionally distant he always appeared. More importantly, her coworkersโ€™ gossip painted Tyler as someone who despised unnecessary socializing and had zero tolerance for small talk or doing favors. He avoided events, didnโ€™t entertain flattery, and basically couldnโ€™t be bothered with anyone. Hearing that he had agreed to help Rachel was genuinely surprising.

Rachel, worried Cecilia might get the wrong idea, ended up explaining the agreement she made with Tyler.

Cecilia finally let out a sigh of relief. โ€œOh, that makes more sense now.โ€

Rachel glanced at the time and became flustered. โ€œItโ€™s getting late. Feel free to explore the place on your own, but Iโ€™ve got to head out.โ€ She still needed to find a quiet place to call Jim and brief him about Tyler, especially about needing Yvetteโ€™s full cooperation when the time came.

Chapter 252

Cecilia didnโ€™t want to take up any more of her time. โ€œAlright, alright. Go do what you need to do.โ€

Just as Rachel got to the door, she ran right into William. She froze in place, stunned, unable to move as she just stared blankly at him.

Even Cecilia was startled by his sudden appearance. She hadnโ€™t expected William to be standing right outside the door.

โ€œMr. Lewisโ€”โ€
