Listen to this chapter:

โ€œWhy donโ€™t you take a guess?โ€

Tyler was back to playing games with her.

Rachel knew that even if there was something between him and William, Tyler wouldnโ€™t just hand over the details. Anyway, she was about to leave William and Yurelia City soon. Everything here would no longer matter to her.

โ€œForget it, I donโ€™t really want to know.โ€

Tyler glanced at his watch, clearly ready to get back to business. โ€œGet in the car. The fareโ€™s covered by a favor. Next time, when I need help, youโ€™re on call.โ€

Rachel didnโ€™t know what problems Tyler couldnโ€™t solve on his own. After all, he was a big shot. It didnโ€™t seem like he would need help from someone like her.

Later, she would realize just how little she truly understood him. Calling him shameless would be an understatement.

She was about to open the passenger door when she noticed it was locked. Furrowing her brows, she realized he had tricked her again. She was about to snap, but then Tylerโ€™s voice stopped her.

โ€œThis car is automatic. You need to give it a command.โ€

He looked irritated, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Rachel gave the sleek, streamlined car a once-over before realizing it was the newest model โ€“ only two of them existed in the world. One of them was owned by Howard. Rumor had it that to get the car for Howard, his grandfather nearly called in every favor he had ever owed in his lifeโ€ฆ and still almost didnโ€™t get it.

Howard was definitely spoiled. If he wanted something, even the stars in the sky probably werenโ€™t off-limits for his family. William had been keen on the car too, but when he tried to get it, he found out that it had already been taken.

It was probably the same car Tyler was driving.

Rachel cleared her throat. โ€œSo, what am I supposed to say?โ€

Tyler straightened up and cleared his throat, looking at her with a completely serious expression. โ€œYou need to say, โ€˜Honey, please open the door.โ€™โ€

Rachel blinked, completely speechless. โ€œAre you kidding me?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m not. Hurry up and say it. Iโ€™ve got a meeting, and Iโ€™m running late,โ€ Tyler urged her.

Rachel looked around. Thankfully, there werenโ€™t many people around, or her face wouldโ€™ve turned as red as a tomato. With no choice left, she steeled herself and said, โ€œHoney, please open the door.โ€

She tugged on the door handle, but nothing happened.

Confused, she turned to Tyler.

Tyler raised an eyebrow. โ€œWhy are you saying that while looking at me? You should be looking at the car.โ€

Rachel clenched her fingers and took a deep breath. If it werenโ€™t for the fact that she couldnโ€™t get a cab, she wouldnโ€™t want to sit in this car even if someone begged her.

She lowered her head, her face flushed with embarrassment, and repeated, โ€œHoney, please open the door.โ€

Ding, ding!

The sound of the car unlocking echoed twice.

Rachel let out a relieved sigh and opened the door, sliding into the passenger seat without even noticing Tylerโ€™s hand retreating from the unlock button.

The car headed toward the city center.

Rachel, still curious, asked, โ€œCanโ€™t you unlock this car manually? Do you always have to say that every time you open the door? Or is there something you like about that?โ€

Tyler couldnโ€™t seriously be into this, could he?

She suddenly remembered the last time she was in his office. That womanโ€™s figure was perfect โ€“ even she, as a woman, had felt a bit envious โ€“ but Tyler hadnโ€™t even blinked.

Either he had seen so many women that he had become immune, or maybeโ€ฆ he liked men.

Tyler noticed the thoughts flickering across Rachelโ€™s face. With a smirk, he flicked her forehead.

Rachel instinctively covered her head. โ€œOuchโ€ฆโ€

โ€œPack up those dirty thoughts of yours. Iโ€™m not interested in men.โ€

Rachel froze, instinctively looking at him. She was shocked to realize that he could read her mind so effortlessly.
