Listen to this chapter:

William couldnโ€™t accept it. He lost control and shouted at Rachel.

โ€œYou still love me, donโ€™t you? Weโ€™ve been together for seven years! How can your feelings just disappear?โ€

Rachel didnโ€™t care about a single word he said. In fact, hearing him talk like that made her feel nauseous for no reason. The stench of alcohol on him made her even more uncomfortable.

She couldnโ€™t help but push William away.

โ€œCan you stop being so full of yourself? If I still had feelings for you, I never wouldโ€™ve left in the first place. When you were fooling around with Samantha, doing all that disgusting stuff behind my back, did you ever think about me?โ€

But William didnโ€™t seem to think he was wrong at all. Instead, he growled, as if venting all his dissatisfaction with her.

โ€œI never wanted to divorce you!โ€

โ€œThen that makes you even more disgusting! You wanted to rekindle things with your precious first love while still pretending to be my husband. Donโ€™t you feel sick just hearing yourself? And you keep saying you love me? Yet, you went and reported my dad when he was already in that state. Were you trying to kill him?!โ€

Rachelโ€™s anger built with every word. There wasnโ€™t a trace of affection in her eyes, only a cold, unfeeling glare.

A smirk suddenly appeared on his face.

โ€œCanโ€™t you tell this is your last chance? As long as you agree to be with me again, Iโ€™ll let your dad off the hook.โ€

Rachel didnโ€™t hesitate.

โ€œI will never get back together with you. Just looking at you makes my skin crawl. Go be with your precious Samantha. I sincerely wish you two a long, happy life together!โ€

Right as she finished speaking, the elevator doors opened. Rachel turned, ready to walk away.

Seeing her about to leave, William suddenly lunged forward and wrapped his arms tightly around her waist from behind.

โ€œRachel, youโ€™d better think this through. This is the last chance to save your dad!!โ€

Rachel struggled, but William, emboldened by alcohol, was stronger than usual and wouldnโ€™t let go.

She gave him a warning. โ€œWilliam, if you donโ€™t let go right now, donโ€™t blame me for what happens next.โ€

โ€œSay yes, and Iโ€™ll let go!โ€

Chapter 410

Rachel took a deep breath. โ€œFine. You wonโ€™t let go? Letโ€™s see about that.โ€

She pulled out her phone and called Samantha. As soon as the call connected, Rachel spoke into the receiver, โ€œMs. Judd, could you please leash your dog? Heโ€™s out here harassing people again.โ€

Samantha immediately understood that William had gone to find Rachel.

Lately, she had sensed something was off with William. He had been drinking alone more and more, and several times she had heard him muttering someoneโ€™s name under his breath. She couldnโ€™t quite catch it, but she was pretty sure it was Rachel.

Just as she was about to ask Rachel to send her the address, the call was suddenly cut off.

William had snatched the phone from Rachel and ended the call.

He yelled at her in frustration, โ€œWhy the hell are you calling Samantha? Iโ€™m trying to talk about us!โ€

โ€œThereโ€™s nothing to talk about between us. Do whatever you want. But Iโ€™m warning you one last timeโ€“donโ€™t you dare use my dad to threaten me. There is no future between us. None!โ€

William let out a cold snort.

โ€œRachel, we were together for seven years. Donโ€™t think I donโ€™t know you. You treat family like your lifeline. Thereโ€™s no way youโ€™ll let your dad die. You have no other options, only me.โ€

Rachel sneered. โ€œActually, I do. Your uncle.โ€
