Chapter 479
Cecilia nodded. โDonโt worry. Leave it in my hands.โ
Just then, Wanda walked in with a bag of groceries. She was slightly surprised to see Cecilia in the house, but did not forget to greet Cecilia with a bright smile.
โYou must be Ms. Lloydโs friend.โ
Rachel stood up to introduce Wanda to Cecilia. โThis is Wanda.โ
Cecilia greeted Wanda politely. โHello, Wanda.โ
Wanda said affectionately, โMs. Lloyd, Mr. Hunt said that heโll be back for lunch this afternoon, and also to see how your wound is recovering. Do make your friend stay for lunch. I can just whip up a few more dishes.โ
โThank you, Wanda,โ Rachel said gratefully.
She had wanted Cecilia to stay for lunch, but she was well aware that she was not the mistress of this house. She also heard that Tyler had brought Wanda here from his family home. To a certain extent, Wanda held a higher rank than Rachel in the household.
Cecilia was very grateful, too. She had never had a meal in such a luxurious apartment, and it was Mr. Huntโs house to boot.
Rachel whispered softly to Cecilia, โIโm telling you, Wanda is an amazing cook.โ
Cecilia took a close look at Rachelโs face and pinched her cheeks.
โI can tell. Youโve probably gained at least a few pounds. But you should gain some weight. You look much better that way.โ
Rachel had always been on the skinny side, be it five years ago or right now. The little bit of weight she gained rounded out the cold, sharp edge in her and made her look slightly more approachable.
Rachel rubbed her cheeks, which did feel plumper than usual.
โItโs fine. Iโll lose that in a few daysโ time.โ
Cecilia was about to speak when someone opened the door. Tyler walked in wearing a white shirt, a black jacket draped over an arm.
He looked like he had a new haircut, his clean and sleek hairstyle accentuating his sharp features. His jaw was tense when he was not smiling, which did nothing to diminish how suave he looked.
Although this wasnโt Ceciliaโs first time seeing Tyler, she was still in awe over his outstanding good looks and features that looked as though they were carved by a master sculptor.
How could a man look this attractive?
He was rich and came from a respectable family, although Cecilia had to admit that the Hunts were a lesser-known family in upper-class society.
However, with the imposing aura that Tyler naturally exuded, it didnโt matter that people didnโt hear much of the Hunts. Seeing Tyler, Cecilia instinctively stood up and greeted him respectfully.
โMr. Hunt.โ
Tyler nodded her way, brushed past both her and Rachel, and headed upstairs.
Cecilia saw Tyler shut the door to his room and shrunk back, subconsciously looking at Rachel.
โGoodness, Mr. Hunt looks so cold and distant. Heโs so scary, I swear I felt a gust of cold wind blow past just now. His aura is too intimidating, and he just naturally has it in him.โ
Tylerโs aura was indescribable; only those who saw him in person could feel it in their bones. It was the aura of a figure of authority with complete control over everything within his reign.
He reigned from above, towering over everyone in a way that was only natural and not pretentious.
Rachel had always known how cold and distant Tyler was. After spending some time with him, however, she knew that he wasnโt actually as hard and cold as he looked.
She patted Ceciliaโs shoulder.
โItโs fine,โ she reassured Cecilia, โdonโt be too bothered by him. Do you have time now? Letโs head upstairs and talk. Did you bring your laptop?โ
Cecilia patted her bag. โOf course, I did.โ
Rachel and Cecilia walked up the stairs and opened the door to a room, only to bump into Tyler, who was changing out of his shirt.
He had just removed it, revealing his strong, muscular back.
