Samantha was stunned.

“William, you…you’ve misunderstood me! I didn’t do anything! Whatever is in the document is false, I’m sure.”

William’s eyes were bloodshot, his hand trembling as he held the document. He glared at her and spat through gritted teeth, “You said you did nothing, but who the hell is Jack? Samantha, what have you been doing behind my back?”

Furious, he flung the document hard at her.

The corner of the file scratched her cheek, leaving a piercing pain in its wake. However, she couldn’t be bothered about that scratch.

She stepped forward and hurriedly grabbed William’s arm. “William, it’s all made up! Don’t listen to their nonsense! I love you so much, how could I betray you? I don’t know which Jack you’re talking about.”

William flung Samantha aside, his usual tenderness toward her all but gone.

“Samantha, how could you continue lying to me when things have come to this point? No wonder you refused to get a divorce even when I asked for it back then! You planned that accident because you were worried that I’d divorce you. That way, I’d feel guilty about you and the baby.

“But that baby wasn’t even mine! Even if I didn’t divorce you, you wouldn’t have kept the baby. You already had an abortion appointment made with the hospital. You just didn’t expect me to ask you for a divorce!”

At that moment, all of William’s doubts were cleared.

Rachel stood at the side, watching the scene unfold before her.

Was Samantha out of her mind? Wasn’t she crazily in love with William? She caused Rachel so much trouble just so she could be with William. Yet, she turned out to be a sugar-coated bullet, betraying William despite her innocent and harmless exterior.

Rachel had given up her spot and ended up with Tyler, yet Samantha refused to let her go.
