Chapter 859

A bad feeling rose in Rachelโ€™s chest. โ€œWhat do you want, Howard?โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t you know what I want? I want revenge, but Tyler wouldnโ€™t be afraid if I simply targeted him. Donโ€™t you know what his Achillesโ€™ heel is?โ€

Howard leaned into Rachelโ€™s ear, a wicked smile stretching across his face.

โ€œYou are, Ms. Rachel Lloyd.โ€

The look on Rachelโ€™s face changed, immediately understanding what Howard meant. This time, she wasnโ€™t his target; Tyler was. All of a sudden, a commotion sounded outside.

Howard smirked. โ€œThat was fast.โ€

The look in Rachelโ€™s eyes froze. โ€œWhen did you inform him?โ€

โ€œAre you a fool? Would I even need to inform him directly? All I needed to do was let out news of where I was, and he came running over immediately.โ€

Someone opened the gate to the warehouse from the outside. Rachelโ€™s heart leapt to her throat. She was about to yell when Howard beat her to it and sealed her mouth shut with masking tape. His men guarding the door were prepared for the visitor, tightening their grip on their baseball bats.

Just then, Tyler walked in, exuding an icy, murderous aura. Howard snapped his fingers at his men, who charged toward Tyler on cue. Tyler was ready for the attack and grabbed one of their baseball bats, raised it high in the air, and kicked one of the men in his stomach.

About a dozen men surrounded Tyler, and the air around them tensed up. Every punch landed solidly on Tylerโ€™s body, making Rachelโ€™s heart clench with worry. Tylerโ€™s counterattacks were steady, accurate, and vicious. These men were no match for him. However, no matter how good a fighter he was, he was unable to resist a dozen men at once. The moment he lowered his guard, one of the men hit him hard on the back. He doubled over in pain and stumbled a few steps forward. Despite the hit, Tyler pushed on, and the men around him started dropping like flies from his lightning-quick attacks.

Howard sensed that things were going south and pulled out a dagger from his back. He hauled Rachel up and pressed the tip of the dagger into her neck.

โ€œTyler Hunt, make one more move and Iโ€™ll kill her!โ€

The blade was so sharp, Rachel thought it would slice through her skin even without much force applied. Howard grew arrogant with Rachel as his hostage.

โ€œI truly underestimated you. Even a dozen men werenโ€™t enough to bring you down.โ€

Tylerโ€™s eyes were dark and cold, dripping with vicious, murderous intent. He glared at Howard as the veins popped in his hand that was gripping a baseball bat. A moment later, he dropped the baseball bat and raised both hands high.

โ€œDo whatever you want with me. Let her go.โ€

Howard shot his men a look, and one of them tied Tyler up. Howard stood by, watching Tyler subject to their mercy. He was rivals with Tyler, but they were once friends. That was precisely the reason why they knew each other so well. He knew how cunning Tyler was. Based on what he knew of that man, he would never come unprepared and go down without a fight.

Howard pointed at two of his men. โ€œTie up his legs, too.โ€

Tyler didnโ€™t resist and let the two men tie his legs up tight. Rachel had never seen Tyler willingly get manhandled this way. She whimpered through the masking tape, her face all scrunched up. Tyler, on the other hand, looked unperturbed.

Howardโ€™s arrogance was sky-high at the sight of Tyler without any means of retaliation. He strutted leisurely to Tyler, the fury burning inside of himself finally finding its point of release. He reached out to smack Tyler on his cheek and taunted, โ€œTyler, you probably never imagined being in my hands one day. I hated the look on your face, acting so high and mighty.โ€
